  1. I need the screw to hold the front bogie on an Oxford Adams Radial and Oxford can't supply. Any ideas anyone or does someone know the size, thread etc?
  2. Through trains from Benidorm to Teulada using the old units because of weight restriction on bridge south of Benissa, then new units from Teulada to Denia, hourly service.
  3. It appears that one or two of the new units will be moved to Denia and run the Denia to Teulada section, with the lighter, old units running Teulada to Benidorm, where passengers for further south will change to the current electric trams. Denia maintenance facility will do routine servicing, fuelling etc on the new units working from there. Presumably these arrangements will continue until the new viaduct is built and commissioned.
  4. Test trains running between Gata and Denia at night this week, although there was a press event this morning, Old stock being used, not for public as the new platforms are set for the height of the new tram trains and there;s about a foot difference in height.
  5. Currently trains are using the old viaduct which is going to have a new concrete one built next to it in the next (Spanish) months time.
  6. That track has now been laid, engineering trains have run on it.
  7. Old style DMUs are now running as far north as Gata de Gorgos, only the line from there to Denia needs reopening.
  8. My Kernow IOW has given good service but has now expired with a dead motor. I was surprised how small the motor is and Kernow and EFE don't have spares. There's a 1001 different motors available on the net has anybody got the spec for it? I'm certainly not going to buy another one if there aren't spares as the motor looks pretty feeble for the job.
  9. I have one of the original Kernow IOW locos and initially it wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding. Now it's run in it will haul 8 modified clerestories - two more than prototype - with modified roofs, repainted and fitted with lights, painted in SR green to represent IOW coaches. Fitting the coaches with metal wheels made up some of the difference but now it runs really nicely.
  10. Hi Neal The first of the new trains as per the photos only arrived on Friday so too early for test runs yet. They are dual mode electric and diesel so can travel over the whole DEnia to Alicante network. Looks like the line will reopen mid 2020 as main line renewal has only got as far as Teulada, although all the station areas have been relaid. It looks like rails are available but not concrete sleepersThe new layout at Denia leaves no run round facilities so my earlier hopes for the Limon Express may not come to fruition. I'm in Ondara get in touch through geoffpethick13 at gmail.com.
  11. I recently moved to Ondara, near Denia, from South Africa where I was involved in private sector railways, particularly Rovos Rail and Sandstone Heritage. I've had some discussions with the local rail authorities and they are hopeful that the Limon Express will run again when the line reopens. Relaying the line is proceeding well in Denia, using tram section rail, and a track machine has been busy at Teulada where the entire station layout has been relaid. It appears that the stations are being rebuilt in advance of relaying the main line. Regards Geoff Pethick
  12. Hi there I've recently moved from Johannesburg to Ondara near Denia and am getting going on a small layout - BR(S) late 50's early 60's plus some industrial track as well. I was involved in the private rail sector in South Africa, particularly Rovos Rail, and am hoping to investigate the possibility of restarting the old Lemon Express once the line to Denia is reopened. Currently all the track in the statiopn area has been lifted and about half a km onwards from there. Regards Geoff Pethick
