  1. Hi. Daft question- can anyone advise me how to get the body off my Deltic without breaking anything? There’s nothing in with it from Accurascale as to the best way and I am reluctant to just have a go as in the past that’s proved costly!
  2. Daft question- can anyone tell me how to get the body off my Accurascale Deltic? Looking to fit my own sound.

There is a thread running on the Accurascale Class 55 Deltic, it may be worth asking there.

      Thanks- will do.

  3. Recently my Hornby Elite suffered a catastrophic failure and I replaced it with a wireless Bachmann Dynamis. The only issue I have had is that for some reason one of my locos will now not work. Its a Dapol OO Western fitted with an ESU sound chip. I've tried reprogramming and yesterday took it into Kernow where it ran with no issues on their test track (Gaugemaster controllers). Put it on my layout today and nothing at all. Other locos are running fine so not the IR connection. Any suggestions would be much appreciated please!
  4. i sent it back to Hornby who have told me the processor has suffered a logic failure and it’s beyond economic repair sadly.
  5. Hi. I have been using my Hornby Elite for some time without problem until today. It suddenly started showing lots of random letters and dollar signs and even when unplugged and plugged back in still does this. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know a fix please.
  6. Thanks. I have made sure it turns by hand and that there is a tiny bit of play in the shaft but still no joy. I think I will try Scalespeed. Tom Thanks to all for your advice. I think I will contact Scalespeed and see if they can get it going!
  7. Unfortunately I sent the old one back to Coopertrains!
  8. Hi, I'm hoping for some advice. A friends father recently passed and he asked me to look at his fathers railway items. Among them was a Wrenn Devizes Castle that did not run. I have never had a Wrenn loco, but on taking it to a friend found the armature wrappings were broke. I have obtained a replacement three pole from Coopertrains and also new brushes and springs. It has the bearings in the housings at each end. The problem I have is that when on the track I can hear it buzzing, the armature will not turn. I'm not an expert with motors so would welcome suggestions as to what the problem is. It is all free turning and the chassis runs beautifully without the motor so it's not sticking wheels or crank etc. Thanks.
