  1. Brass screws I tried yes I also found difficult. Then moved over to copper clad board much easier. This isn’t the best but as it’s on a viaduct end it will be disguised under timbers. yet to slit the join with a fine disk.
  2. Said I’d be still be knocking around waiting, well 6 years later I am! Good to see it out and yes shame about losing all those photos. I held off for a long time as I double post over on Western Thunder so it was all there then Jeff Grainger convinced me to sort it out it’s the currency of the forum. Still my build in the same 6 years has bearly moved! So I’m reassured I’m in good company 😆
  3. Hi Guy happened to be driving by yesterday but my hoped for camera position on the lower slopes of the wood was unreachable in the wet conditions. So much as other photos here I was limited to the road bridge to look at the Calvert. That’s the best I could obtain sorry.
  4. Welcome back! Be good to see some post notifications arriving again in my inbox. looking good can see the work that has gone into that.
  5. Morning Giles, all looking handsome. I don’t want to detract from the magnificent work of Paul’s but is the 3 storey low relief building on the lean? the verticals don’t seem to align with its surrounding buildings? Could be in temporary as you described the others.
  6. So Jeff any truth in putting a radio telescope on the dark side of the moon? Probably not worth while cost over benefits?
  7. Morning Jeff! Yes as ever up all hours! Had my 4 hours so just dozing now. Never really thought about that reference the dark side of the moon. Thanks for the enlightenment.
  8. Really interesting, learning a lot from the above. Thanks for taking the time to explain it Jeff. I didn’t realise we were always looking at the same side of the moon! So presumably if you want to photograph the hidden sides you can only do that from space? or have I miss read?
  9. Outstanding pics Jeff, love em! Makes a welcome detour from 4’8” an a alf stuff! 🤣😉.
  10. Ah that will explain it. Makes perfect sense now! Looking good.
  11. Nicely done Alex, Wasn’t what I was expecting.. I had presumed from your description at Edington it was at 90 deg to how it is I.e. running in line with the other buildings and as wide as the space you left! Now I’m really interested to see how this building blends in.
  12. Good to hear from you Jeff! Seems my poignant post top of the page was a close guess followed by Jay echoing that. Then bless him and may he rest in peace, your good friend Jonathan pops in to update us. Just to prove life is so short, grab everything you love and cherish with both hands while you can. So in doing what makes you happy you are following the path! Keep us updated Jeff and chuck a few of those dark sky photos on here for us to marvel at! Cheers Ade
  13. Cheers Guy I’ll see what I can do. Not overly familiar with the culvert! Is it here as in screenshot below?
  14. Didn’t see it at first! But B less is more usually.
