  1. Nice place to model in steam days, always busy when I went there with a multitude of rail served industries, and a massive goods depot. The shed was split in two with the main running shed on the opposite side of the main-line to the works and roundhouse. With the shed turn-table in the roundhouse, what I saw was most of the locos from the running shed used the turn-table at the south end of the station to turn.

    of course steam its my era, and my previous layout 9 14 yrs ago) was British railways and its fascinating opening the boxes after all this time. I just felt that there was potential for a lot of differnt interest points.

    I had been using NLS but not had not found that scale, it would be wonderful to replicate but i think time and finance would be a factor.

     

    My thinking is that to the south the line splits in three around the loco works and roundhouse and to the north there are also several splits which could be utilised in the modeling sense.
