  1. I think the angle doesn't necessarily help that view IMO My best attempt haha. Must admit, had a long time talking to Ben at Heljan ar Warley. Had a good look at it. Sound file is Bif so is excellent as you'd expect. IPhone style speakers according to Ben. It might not be "perfect" but 10 years ago we'd of killed for this and as others have said Heljan will produce the liveries that Bachmann won't (coincidently when I pushed the Bachmann reps, they said more would come but suggested 2/3 years between batches)
  2. One of the GMaster Editions is 47578 in RES. The photo shows the /7 (776) number. Does anyone know what differences there are between it running as 578 & 776 (and I dont just mean the number 🤪 ) Ben @ Heljan. Any further photos etc ?
  3. I appreciate this topic was a while ago now but I seem to have a similar issue with my ECoS and Railcom/RailcomPlus. A couple of weeks ago I went to move "Loco A" and there was no movement. I tried a "Loco B/C/D/E/F" etc and some worked, others didn't. For arguments sake "Loco A" was a Cl.47. Locos that were fitted with Zimo or D&H decoders worked fine, only ESU V4s and V5s seemed to be affected. On moving the 47 onto the LokProgrammer, it fired up, no issues at all. Put it back on the layout and zilch. Eventually I switched off the RailCom on the decoder, re scanned it onto the ECoS and it worked. I repeated this for say another 30-40 locos with V4s/V5s in and they all now work. If I get a new Decoder, the ECoS doesn't recognise it until it's had RailCom turned off but again on the LokProgrammer everything works as it should. It's odd - and frankly doing my t!ts in as one massive benefit is the auto recognition as soon as a new loco appears. Plus at some point i'd really like to use feedback modules. TIA - any thoughts?
  4. I've got 4 in total, although the last one this evening will be going back as it is jerky and doesn't seem to like any decoder I try (maybe a PCB issue?) Has anyone experienced the same as attached with the tails still illuminating? I think this is light seepage rather than actual illuminating properly, as they're much brighter once the appropriate function is pressed. Cheers
  5. Hi, apologies if this has been asked before. Has anyone bought Dapol signals and modified them? Like could one of the main arms be turned into a sub? Cheers
  6. Hi All. Does anyone have any information on the inter-regional trains that ran from LNER/LMS metals to the Southern. On watching DVDs of York/Manchester/Leeds you quite often see southern region green stock but there's not many photos about the stock formations etc I model 1958-1968 so that's the period I'd be looking at. Thanks
  7. How many of these snook into the steam era? I model 58-68 west riding, I read Leeds Whitehall was a destination so a rake of these would be something different. Thanks in advance
  8. I've had an invoice this afternoon (19/8). Do we think their imminent?
  9. The new Bachmann Midlanf 1P with factory sound is a V5 Micro (next 18). I know the list is mainly Diesel Locos but some may find that useful.
  10. Recently, when starting up my ECoS has shorted out for the first few minutes, needing a quite a few press of the "GO" button to get it on. Now my layout has quite a complicated set up. It's an MPD with various running lines and also various levels with all the point motors powered by DCC Concepts accessory decoders, some IP cobalts etc. There's a secondary bus for accessories where half of the accessory decoders take power off powered by a Tam Valley module, mainly as these are Solonoid accessory decoders which suck quite a lot of juice but this has never caused a problem before, as they're wired to a switch module to turn them on 1 by 1 to let them charge up - It's never tripped the setup before. The only thing that I've done recently is to add an extra fiddle yard and add extra locos (more space = more locos!!) Now all the locos on the layout are DCC Sound (mix of Loksound V4, V5s, Zimo and D&H decoders), quite a few with "Stay Alives" in them. I've got 1 or 2 theories as to what it could be: 1) i need another Tam Valley module to take some of the extra accessory decoder load from the first module 2) I've got too many locos - does anyone know how many DCC sound locos the ECoS can take? I'm approaching 100 or so so quite a few 3) the locos with stayalives, combined with the pull for all the accessories are pulling too much juice and causing it to short and protect itself. Any thoughts appreciated, many heads are sometimes better than one! Kieran
  11. Hi, Apologies if this question has been asked before but has anyone has experience of changing the headcode blinds on both Hornby and Bachmann locos. I have the new transters ready, just more a question on accessing them before I take something apart and regret it
  12. Thanks for this. It doesnt actually tell me how they got the timetable synced with the ECoS though which appears to be the issue?
  13. Hi All, apologies if this has been raised before, i have searched but cant find anything that directly helps. Ive got the LDT turntable Decoder attached to my ECoS + Fleischmann turntable. One slight issue is that i dont know the exact number of my turntable (it's either a 6152 or 6652, both of which should be supported). I can get the turntable to do a turntable test via the S1 button, it will spin and test all the track connections and then settle on ths center road. The thing i cant get it to do for the life of me is to talk to the ECoS. The yellow programming light just continues to flash on the decoder. I have tried adjusting the frequency but to no avail. Can anyone help? Thanks
