Realtrack FSA/FTA Freightliner flats in 2mm and 4mm
charliepetty replied to Dalesman's topic in Realtrack
Sadly people get ripped off on Ebay, the problem we have is when we are at a show, we cannot refuse sales of our FLA Wagons, sadly last year one guy from the West Midlands bought 8 X FLA Wagons and later we found a guy in the Birmingham area selling them on Ebay at a starting price of £20.00 more than the price he paid, I wont say what some went for, So the moral of the tale is dont get ripped off, just search out the products on Google and shop around, Ebay is the lazy mans way to spend too much money !!!! No plans currently. -
The first batch or Provincial are mainly still available except the Scottish one, BUT by Christmas the stock levels should be quite low, so if one is required then now is the time to start saving up !!! This version has beeh our most popular model, with over 1,638 currently sold, we only got 1850 in total 2 Years ago. But the 1,250 Saltire onesw were the fastest seller !!! Charlie

Thisis a sympton of an unsealed speaker, just take the speaker out of its sound chamber (the speaker has the two sprung tabs on it) then using a small screwdriver make a new gasket using a little bit of white PVA glue, in a thin bead around where the speaker fits on, making sure no PVA gets on the silver diaphram, the reseat the speaker, puse down to seal then leave over night. IF anyone wants some free speakers to replace what you have in the model, send £1.35 to cover the Postage & Fee's, and I will send you some. You can send it by PAYPAL to: charlie@dckits.co.uk Or contact DCKits-Legomanbidffo on: pacercharlie2@gmail.com Glad to help. Charlie

Leeds-Manchester via Low Moor trains
charliepetty replied to 1165Valour's topic in Pre-Grouping - Modelling & Prototype
Leeds to Bradford was a GN line with L&Y Running rights, so no issues there. -
Suggest asking SWD, as if you are a sound creator like SWD, Digitrains, Howes, Coastal, Wickness Models, Jamie Goodman, Youchoos, Mr Sound Guy & legomanbiffo, it would make no commercial sense to give your files away of nothing. The only reason that would make sense is: 1/ Too Busy to deal with 100's of customers, as I believe they still supply the trade (Unless they help ESU to do away with that part of the buisness too ) with loads of Free Stuff. 2/ Running down the Buisness (No evidence of that) but please bear in mind Covid & Decoder shortages will have reduced the ESU's overall buisness greatly, IE Cash Flow. 3/ Too much for one person to handle especially on the phone as there is no Online Internet ordering system to make things easier, everything comes by phone or mail. 4/ Retirement (No hint of that either) The overview could be: Manufactures/OEM Customers no longer using ESU anymore (Bachmann, Farish, Dapol, Hornby) + decoder shortages & Cash Flow = Less decoders = Less ESU decoder sales thus Free Downloads = more blank decoder sales. No Idea if the above is correct or not but it could be a very wise move, or folly. Time will tell. The hobby is going through a 'interesting' period and I can see more Hornby style issues in the future, as competition on the big OEM's continues as pace. Dont forget, change is good for the hobby as the larger manufactures could get greedy and could stop inovating if left alone to trundle along doing the own thing.

Dcc fitted unit not responding to controller
charliepetty replied to Boco_D1's topic in DCC Help & Questions
As we have discussed with the customer, the units have twin decoders, allowing for additional lighting & sound functions to operate as per the real units. The models are fitted here by me and tested and set up to run as a matched pair, these are both addressed as 56 normally unless there are more than one on the order, if so they will have the address on the booklet enclosed. So as discussed, running on DC and not DCC seems to be a controller issue rather than a model issue, but having and trying to read two decoders together 'could' confuse this Bachmann system. Southwest Digital Loksound Loco Files For Free
charliepetty replied to two tone green's topic in DCC Sound
Just a little feedback on the ESU Free Sound Files, this will probably not worry a lot of people, but I thought its worth mentioning. Class 47 & 57: Does not have the distinctive 'Spoon' sounding horns. plus these two seem to have multiple generic auxiliary sounds, plus the radio announcements with lots of shunting instructions with a few that would suit a mainline locomotive, but half of them are suitable 'possibly' for an 08 shunting in a marshalling yard or large depot !!!. -
No problems, happy to help. Charlie
