      I run Firefox and use AdBlock Plus. I am sure its available for other browsers. To stop nasties getting onto my system I use Malwarebytes and ESET NOD32 anti-virus which both came highly recommended to me. Malwarebytes in particular is excellent. There's a perfectly good free version but I paid for mine as well for the extra features (usual disclaimer, just a satisfied customer).

      Here's the AdBlock Plus link. I think any add-on that's on the add-ons/extension pages of any major browser will be completely safe.

      I have used an ad-blocker on the internet for about 2 decades and never see any ads anywhere ever. Worth getting - and free.

    Is there any point in listing old Hornby/Bachmann boxes on eBay? I see lots for sale but not sure how many people buy them, or if I should just throw it all in the recycling?

      Definitely worth selling if you can put up with the hassle of it all. I have bought empty boxes before, for wagons and coaches, at around £2 each.
