  1. Are you going to produce the teak set as well? :jester:

Darn it Chris I think we've been rumbled!

Introducing the all new Model Rail coffee table. With a distinct teak finish it's the perfect table to rest your drink on whilst your operating your layout and for a limited time only it comes equipped with a magazine holder underneath in a safe area away from any potential spillages!

  2. Yes the announcement will be soon. We will be making it when we get our copies of the magazine in the office so that hopefully we can make it to time with the subscribers getting their copies (providing the post all runs to time of course). It could be potentially the end of this week but certainly the beginning of next.

    Is it soon?

After the Great Hornby Announcement Debacle, I've given up frothing for Lent. Next year.

    :jester:

Considering that Lent finished in April feel free to start frothing again!

  3. Is the announcement date ahead of when we subscribers get our copies, or will we be getting it later thab usual?

That date is when the issue goes on shelves and subscribers will get their copies earlier than that date as they do every month. However for those who aren't subscribers that is the date that they can get the magazine. With the post being so variable in different parts of the country it was easier to put a single date than go 'maybe the 4th/5th/6th of the month.' Naturally of course that means all will be revealed before the posted date but we had to pick one to put on the post!

It looks like the Model Rail website is being re-built....some good stuff here....

Chris Leigh's Blog seems to have been re-started recently.

The Website has "The Model Rail Archive"....BUT some of the earlier links, such as Chris's Blog in the January 2017 section do not work The Chris Leigh Blog - 'Chassis Swap'

I reeived an email titled "How to fit a DCC decoder into your USA tank..."

On clicking the picture or the text link (Get Tips), I was taken to the new "Tip Cards Home".

Lots of good stuff, but nothing about putting a DCC decoder in a USA Tank!

I do not actually have a USA Tank.....so not rally a problem for me at the moment.... ;)

Thanks for bringing this to our attention Sarahagain, we have recently changed the website and as a result the url for the blog got altered from new-blog to the-chris-leigh-blog and as a result its knocked out all of the urls for the individual posts, these should now all be working again.

In terms of the newsletter email you received, the USA tank article is in the ‘Know Your Stuff’ section of the magazine whereas the tips cards that you were redirected to are the ones that we trialed on the inside flap for a few issues in 2017. It is one of these things where I wrote the copy for the newsletter and it has been altered to fit in the neat little square box! For those who do want to know how to put a DCC decoder into their USA tank, Chris Leigh takes them through it on page 74 of Model Rail 248. (CG)
