I've just had a look on old-maps.co.uk and the 1968 map for that area shows that piece of land as a blank space, (and across the road to the east as "ruins") so maybe before the 1980s building it was just waste ground, or an undeveloped bomb site?

We moved into a house in 1997 that had a concrete coal bunker - that was "Oop North" though, so probably a bit behind the times!
Fantastic modelling - looking at your incredible work is making my lockdown/isolation quite enjoyable :-)

The 1879 OS map for that area can be viewed on old-maps.co.uk, and shows a siding off the main line, with a spur into that shed. I'd post a link but I'm not entirely sure how...

Looking at the maps:
The Harbour Station appears to have been linked to the other side (fishing boats) by a disused light railway...
Do you mean the Cairnryan Military Railway?

For future reference some casters recommend putting it on (not in!) a spin dryer for that. A few minutes good shaking should shift all but the most stubborn bubbles.
I used to work in a dental laboratory, and we had small table-top vibrating machines to bring the air bubbles to the surface of the plaster moulds. Apologies, I have no idea what they were actually called - we just called them "vibrators". Probably best not to Google that though...

I've been struggling to recall or find any pics of how the terminus train shed end wall on the southern side was and what covered the southern end of Stainer Street which was little more than a narrow one way tunnel:
The sketch/drawing of how Southwark Towers was to be demolished gave a little clue but of course was only a stylised artists impression and Guys hospital was partly in the way:

Fortunately I came across a photo that I'd taken of the start of construction of the Shard that I'd forgotten I had. It shows the train shed end after demolition of Southwark Towers and although not comprehensive give some good clues:
Bearing in mind the layout won't be a drop dead accurate rendition (due to compression and simplification) it'll have to do along with some modelling license on my behalf. And, if anyone is interested, I've ordered the RTV silicone rubber and resin casting chemicals. So until that arrives progress is stymied and research is the order of the day.

Street view has a distant view, if you go back to 2008. Apologies if you've already thought of that

I had wondered if that could be the case. But "Guildable Manor St" does not sound like a recent naming. Not that I have any idea what a guildable manor might be!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guildable_Manor - according to this, the street was only renamed in 2012

The NER (or its predecessors) built a few attractive overall roofs at stations where most other companies would have thought twice about a waiting room on the second platform. Filey, for example.

Until yesterday there were several buddleia bushes growing out of the retaining wall beside platform 1 at Scarborough (just outside my front gate) - but somebody chopped them all down while I was out at work. View has improved greatly
