  1. There will be a standard 30 day returns policy (you pay the postage to UK address), and a 1 year manufacturers warranty coverage for breakdowns.
  2. There are a number of threads on the validity of what we intend to produce. It will be cross-referenced between the drawings at are available and stock photos, which we have lots. Once we have CAD photos then you can make your own mine up. It will be better than the resin version, which plenty have been sold, considering there is no actual chassis too.
  3. If you have the time and the patience to go through the NRM archives, you can get the original drawings for the GT3. Then you approach a factory, and say, 'build this', pay them some money and 14 months down the line you have a 20ft container with trains in it. That's the simplistic approach.
  4. Thanks for the link. I've sent in my registration.
  5. Hi Steven, This are just possible models we would like to bring to life. However, one at a time, so be still your beating wallet.
  6. Hi Bob, We really would like to bring the GT3 out in N, but there just seems not to be that much interest. We have to make a certain amount to justify the tooling costs to produce a model in N. May I suggest that if you are on any N gauge Facebook groups then you can promote it there. I'll set up a dedicated EOI just for N, it may take more time, but it may happen. I would hate to see the N scalers miss out on having this loco run around their layout.
  7. As it stands right now, the distribution will be from the UK. So the standard VAT will apply. This is included in the retail price of the model. There will be no handling charge and postage should be about £4.50. so total cost £189.50 European customers are going to be an ongoing issue until Brexit is finalized once and for all. The rest of the world will have to pay local duty and any import charges, we can't cover all bases, the volumes are too low.
  8. I hear you, but it's looking promising so far.
  9. While this market does not have many companies, there are more that are coming forward. I took the very BOLD step to introduce a model that does not exist in preservation or even has much information on, but we conquered that hurdle and now we want the factory to make it.
  10. We have to plans to do the Fell, the Hush Hush, plus the other two GT's. We may also have a nice surprise in the next few months if my current research pans out. Even the Leader could be a possibility.
  11. Shipping internationally will have to be done on a certain rate. I don't have the dimensions or actual weight as yet. So far we will be shipping to 9 different countries. Shipping charges will be at cost.
  12. Many thanks Dan for your support. We intend to produce the best model we can, to set a benchmark for KR Models. I want it to be a name that people will associate with quality.
  13. Postage costs in the UK will be minimal around £4.50. However, without knowing how many units we will be posting then I can't negotiate a rate with the Post Office. The forecasted delivery date was based on things happening quicker than has actually taken place. If everyone pays by the end of this month as requested then we will be looking at about 14 months from the signing of the contract. The EOI has been fulfilled, all that remains is for those who actually signed up, to honour their commitment by paying the deposit. A confirmed delivery will be set once we can proceed. Just to answer an unwritten question. If the project does not move past this point, everyone will get back their deposits. They are being held in trust until we reach our target number.
  14. I have not listed my costings, and won't. I don't have a cut off as it will be down to how many customers we will have. I no factory will keep a slot open if the project doesn't materialise. No, the project will not proceed until there is sufficient funding to complete it. At the moment I am funding everything from my own pocket. I am the only one who stands to lose everything at this point.
  15. I thought it was time I give my customers a bit of information about myself as there are some misunderstandings who I am. Let me just start by saying I am a very private person and my personal life has no impact on my ability to produce a model train. There was one comment on this forum that I have MS. I do not have this disease but have people very close to me struggling each day with it. I took part in the St Albert MS walk, to raise funds the MS Society of Canada. This is my part to help the people suffering from this devastating disease. I was born in Warrington UK, moved to Canada, and been here 10 years. I work full-time in the logistics industry. Bringing the GT3 to life has been a lifelong dream of mine and I am able to bring it to life now. I have contacted a model train manufacturer in China to produce the GT3. I have not gone through a third party to bring the GT3 to life. I’m not affiliated with DJ Models, nor am I an offshoot from Rapido Trains. I am an independent contractor that has purchased drawings to have a factory build the GT3 from these drawings. The aim is to produce a great quality model that everyone will be proud to own. There are plans to do other locos that have not been produced before. If there is a demand for a second run of manufacturing of the GT3 then I will put out another Expression of Interest at that time. If you have any questions about the train, the manufacturing of it and the shipping once the product is ready to be shipped out to my customers please contact me through KR Models website. As for my personal life, that is mine and won’t discuss it on a public forum. Thank you to my customers that have invested in the GT3. I am excited for the train to become a part of your collections. Just on a final note. The finished models will be shipped from the factory direct to the UK for distribution, therefore you will not need to collect yours from Canada as was previously suggested. Nor will you be paying the import duty. The VAT has already been added and will be deducted if you live outside of the EU. There will be a full 12 warranty with the model.
