  1. The GT3 that was sent to Hornby was a pre-production sample.
  2. Not a mis-spelling. Its meant to be from Carrington in the Greater Manchester area. Trying to pry some more info from him now.
  3. Yes, there is a cost to everything. But the editing of the samples and tooling is all part of the production process and covered under the costs. Its nothing we didn't expect. EP samples are just that, samples. The purpose of them is to fix what's wrong with them before it goes into production.
  4. You are so so very wrong. We can have as many samples as we want prior to us hitting the go button on the production to make sure we get everything right. Which is exactly what we are doing. In no way is a EP sample a "final chance" as you put it. Its a prototype, not a finished product.
  5. The second EP should be coming some time in January praying everything goes right. Changes have been made, feedback has been listened to, and hopefully a lot of worries and issues that you all have will be put to rest. I've chosen to quote MGR Hooper here specifically because it highlights one of our morals that we have held onto as best as we can since we started. We do listen to feedback, all of it. Including the walls of text, the furious observations, and comparisons to less-than-stellar competitors. 70% of the time, its me reading all of your thoughts and feelings regarding the decisions we make and the products we launch, and then we both discuss how to move forward with what we have been given. No, I'm not perfect at my job, I am very acutely aware of that, but don't think for a second that I am not giving it my all doing what I can to make sure that your concerns and criticisms are heard and understood. I know we have made mistakes, and I know for a lot of you it seems like we aren't listening. But we are. Both of us. We want to do the best job we can and do what we can with what we have. We aren't deliberately trying to alienate anyone, we work with the information and feedback we get. As always, if anybody would like to contact me personally, my email and phone number are always open at any time of day. I welcome your messages one and all. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and I hope that 2021 fairs better for everyone than this year has. - Mike
  6. We understand the importance of getting all the details right the first time. The obvious first choice is the grey version, and possibly the never seen in public BR Black early crest version.
  7. Hi John, Can you email me the reference material of the interior, please? keith@krmodels.co.uk
  8. Do you have any examples of the internal view of the wagon so that we may correct this oversight?
  9. As not to get bogged down with a varietyty of loads that cost for each set of tools and make the cost prohibitive, then we'll use the general approach of other manufacturers of supplying a load and you can colour differently if you want. The loads will be removable. We are in the design stage now. Photo's to follow.
  10. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. No final decision has been made over liveries, as we are still researching this ( yes we actually do research). For sure the grey one, and the BR Black early crest, but after that, not sure. There's 3 different versions of the grey one we have found. No name plates or numbers, just numbers, numbers and crest. So which one do you do? You can't do all three grey versions as you have to have a minimum quantity to justify the setting up in the factory.
  11. Yes the tooling is always subject to change. As far as the internal detail, we don't see much cause as it will be covered by either our load or loads that customers will put in themselves.
  12. This has been an issue from the start with this cart system. The VAT and shipping is added in the cart depending on your shipping location. There is no increase for using our payment plan system. The full price is £253.50. £207.50 is the base price before the additions, which you'll see in the cart before you complete your purchase.
  13. This was the first thing we noticed. This is why we do track testing.
  14. The wheels is one of the fixes. Not much of a reduction to get it to scale.
  15. Because the dates for the payments are based on when the payment plan is opened. We only set the payment frequency and plan length. Payments come out every 2 months for both plans until the plan is completed.
  16. As a company we have been more transparent than most. We might not get everything right with our approach, but hey, we're learning. Covid-19 has caused us a few unexpected issues and we are aware that the delivery timeline is out of our hands, but we are keeping everyone informed as to the latest developments, so the GT3 is coming, we should have solution soon on the shipping issue, and hopefully a delivery schedule too. We can't thank everyone for the support that we have received over the life of the GT3, it has been a massive learning curve with much more to learn as future projects take shape. But we are here to stay, unless you listen to some on here. We have received huge support and compliments from outside of RMWeb. The GT3 is looking very good, performs very well, sounds fantastic, and everyone will be very happy when it arrives. We are still doing better than the mainstream manufacturers who still haven't produced some models due 'to unforeseen circumstances'. This is our first model and it's going to be great. If it takes a little longer to make it great, then that is how it has be. Keith.
  17. You will receive all the details to your email address once you complete the initial payment.
  18. Full cost is split up into 3 payments for Ready and 4 payments for Sound + delivery. £4.50 for UK, £19 for rest of Europe, and £23 for anywhere else in the world. Both have a £50 initial deposit to make.
  19. These issues have been fixed. This is why we do research.
  20. Nope, no reconsiderations. Just being patient with how we handle projects. Don't want to announce too much and spread ourselves too thin. Once the GT3 has been delivered, we should have more news on following projects.
  21. As of right now, assembly is nearing completion but has taken longer than we anticipated due to minor staffing issues As of writing this, no, the models are not on the water due to the difficulty we are experiencing. Once they are in the country, we will be sending out a newsletter stating that they are, after which point people will also receive their tracking information for their delivery. This is a very fluid situation right now, and we are doing the best we can with the tools we have, and I hope you appreciate this. If any of you have any further questions, feel free to email me or call me. -Michael
  22. Fixed it now, honestly have no idea how they came out skew-wiff like this now. They were correct as of a week ago.
