Thanks Andy - the fireworks and the thunderstorm seem to be the biggest crowd pleasers from the handful of shows we have done so far.
You probably would not kick yourself if you knew how complicated it turned out to be - lots of unforseen complications and challenges to overcome to get it to work well enough to be comfortable letting other people see it.

Hi
New to the forum and wanted to share some details about our exhibition layout "Bond Lane"
We wanted to do something a little different and set about trying to incorporate a TV screen as a backdrop so we could have things like moving clouds, day and night scenes etc.
It has taken a while, and a lot of trial and error but we have now done a few shows and had a really good responses. Best of all it has triggered loads of conversations with people about the concept which is very much a prototype. We have also had a really good reaction from people about the fact it is motorised and so we can display it at eye level and lower it down easily for small children or sitting down adults (and by default I guess sitting down children too).
The whole layout folds into three to assist getting it into the boot of the car which created a few challenges of its own.
Below is a video that is just a quick show reel of some of the effects we have managed to achieve. It is important to note that there is no computer brain controlling this behind the scenes, it is all done with some relatively simple electronics and a bit of lateral thinking. For example the street lights come on when the video tells them too directly, as do the flashes of lightening and the orange glow for sunset. If we were to run the video at half speed, double speed or paused it then the effects would still be perfectly synched, as would the sound effects.
We are currently putting together some blogs and videos about how we have done it to help spark ideas in other people that can take the idea a lot further than our attempt.
There is a list of the exhibitions we are attending, some more photos and information about how it folds on our website - https://www.bondlane.co.uk
