Thanks Kev for your thoughts on the location, I had trawled google maps and suspected that was the place. If it’s a culvert failure then there are questions to be asked on the maintenance. Do the bright yellow all singing inspection trains check the embankments etc, or was that the length man’s job when he walked his patch?

From the overhead picture Network Rail published, it looks like a culvert might be the problem. Can anyone confirm the location of the slip and is there a culvert involved.

The postie came good this afternoon after it had been sat at Truro sorting office for a few days. Thanks to this forum I found the instructions and what the magic wand does! Now for a bit of running in!

The Tite and Locke, platform 3 at Lancaster. Plenty of under cover out door seating, ideal for watching trains go by.
