I built small buffer stops with plastic sleepers and nails. They work fine.

I removed all the buffer stops and I slightly changed the track plan. It works very well . I'm very pleased with the result. But I need very small buffer stops to avoid a massive lost of rolling stock.

Well done. How did you make your backdrop ? Thanks;

After several test, it appears that all the sidings are too short for interesting shunting operations. One wagon per track it's not really enough. I must find a better track plan.

What's next ?

First run !

I cleaned up the track and the very old point. Then I plugged my layout for the very first run.

I drawn a new track plan. The baseboard is a little bit longer (80cm) than the first project.

Nice little inglenook, are you leaving it like it is or are you adding scenery and buildings.
Thanks. I don't know yet for the scenery and the buildings. It's so small !

Three different wagons would make operation more challenging.

Absolutely. These wagons are only there for the first test..

Hello everyone,
In another thread, I planned to build a small layout with a traverser/transfer table: Shortover Yard...but I changed my mind !
I read this very interesting website: InglenookShuntingPuzzles and I started the build of a Small Inglenook sidings (9" x 24"). I used very old Fleischmann stuff. All your advices and comments are welcome. Thanks.- 5

60cm x 18cm? That'll be N Gauge, then?
Absolutely not ! It's 00 gauge / H0 scale.

Hello everyone,
Has anyone ever built a layout like this one (just scroll down a little): "Shortover Yard — a Seriously Compact Layout!"
Shortover Yard — a Seriously Compact Layout!
The dimensions of my own version of this small (micro ?) layout could be: 60cm x 18cm
All your advices and comments are welcome. Thanks.
The sequel to Distillery Yard - Finlarig halt.
