Hi, I bought a very cheap Hornby turntable from ebay for about £3, mainly to practise painting/weathering it.

I was looking to work out what material the hut might be and it lead me to google to find out if anyone else had tried to paint it.. I cannot find any examples! From what I can see on the internet people use it ‘as is’

do you know of anyone who has attempt to paint and weather this turntable?

I am trying to identify the stationary steam loco from this youtube video https://youtu.be/-9RxglonQFQ?t=1188 (the one in the siding at this time frame)

The layout is called "old market" any help would be greatly appreciated.
