Do all the underframe moulds still exist for the MR coaches?

I managed to find sides, ends, roofs, springs+axle boxes and some somewhat warped floors as separate items when Mr Dunn was still doing shows, but had to scratch build my own solebars and vacuum gear, and use Brassmasters Cleminson assemblies for W irons, as I never saw any Slaters components.

I think so give slaters a call or email

At least the mystery has been solved.  I was wondering whether Mr Coopercraft had found a couple of hundred sprues down the back of his sofa, and wanted to pass them off as Slater's kits!

The Lancashire & Yorkshire continued to call all of them Covered Wagons until grouping.

Where does the line get drawn between cattle wagons and cattle vans? Presumably the passenger stock rating of the latter.

as i believe they have the moulds at slaters and believe they in the process of moulding some not 100% tho so dont quote me

    Maybe try POWsides?

The couple of kits I've got from them were still in Slaters packaging with the instructions....

As I said. I've not got any means of copying them. But If Slaters want a copy I'll swap for a Toplight.  :)

I have 4036 and 4044 (also covers 4055) but not 4058. Would it be more direct for me to post these to Slaters? 4044 has the instructions relating to couplings blanked out.

I also have the instructions for the Midland 6-wheel carriages.

the coaches i believe are having a revamp with the bogies and being made from a casting instead of the etch if they use to be an etch ? not my gauge im 7mm gauge so not sure my friend asked me to come on here and see if i can be any help to get some instructions

Ah well, why didn't you say so in the first place? That makes all the difference and I apologise for my earlier snarkiness!

Remind me which ones are lacking!

i apologise as well for not saying the full story i wasnt sure if they wanted this information to be public knowledge yet but with not having been successful then i thought it be best to tell the full story they may need instructions for 4044 gloucester 5 plank wagons to , 4058 charles roberts 7 plank or any instructions for the 4mm range will help if you could email me them as a pdf or send them via mail i would appropriate this a massive help and theyll appropriate the public helping getting these long lost wagons back on the market

they are lacking the 4036 which is the Gloucester wagons , 4041 charles roberts wagons and also ill think theyll find having a copy of the 4057 salt wagon ones as well this will get them going for now they may need the others but they not at that stage for the others if we could get them 3 wagon instructions this will get them on the way to produce the p/o wagons again

I wonder if I've just been unlucky or have others found that Slaters 4mm brick plasticard has of late been very brittle. I've used the stuff since my teens and never had any problems, in fact I'm at my happiest when working with plasticard. The last two batches I've had have been a disappointment being brittle almost to the point of being unusable. Both batches were mail order from different suppliers, both of which are big enough to have a swift turnround of stock so I don't think the stuff I bought has been sat on the shelves for years. It's shinier than usual too as well as being brittle so I wonder if a different plastic is being used? Anyone else share my experience?

ring them up and tell them about it

Why not tell us what 4036 and 4041 are - and was it really necessary to ask the question six times . . . . . .

i was replying to individual people to ask them if they had any ?

, they are the p/o wagons 4036 is the Gloucester wagon and 4041 is the charles roberts 7 plank wagon

Clearly POWSides are being supplied by Slaters with the 4 mm scale PO wagon kits, for them to decorate. What is curious is that I don't seem to be able to reach the linked listing from the home page - clicking through to Undecorated Kits from there doesn't give a listing.

The linked listing includes the Midland 5 plank and 3 plank wagons that are of course now once more available directly from Slaters; I had some from POWSides, along with some PO kits, a couple of years ago when they were all listed on POWSides' old website.

So, it's still a bit of a mystery and more of a frustration to me, since I'd like some Gloucester 6-plank wagons...

has anyone got any instructions for any of the kits i could have please im in desperate needs of the 4036 instructions and 4041 instructions please this will help massively

They do turn up on the second hand market unbuilt.

I picked a handful up from Hattons pre-owned a few weeks ago for a reasonable price. Seemed like a collection as there was loads. Well over fifty different ones with a few duplicates.

They flew off the website, they were literally disappearing as quick as I could add them to the basket. Got about four and a similar number of Cambrian. Mostly of a Welsh, Dean Forest, South Western bias.

    The Slaters ones were

E Baily Malsters, Bristol  (the mispelling is correct according to a photo)

    United, Swansea

    Thomas Pascoe, Swansea

    Caerbryn Colliery,
