  1. I am nowhere that detail but I try. Back in the day every building had character not just boxes😠
  2. The train is Ok but I am loving those buildings behind. All the added bits and bobs over the years make it look so interesting.
  3. Cheers Kevin, had to get my finger out as I have a couple of shows coming up👍
  4. OO scale Freelance trains. Each train runs as a pair, one part has a N20 motor and 75g ish of lead weight. The second part has the decoder and a large stay alive to get across all my 3d printed points and turntables. The last 6 pics show the motor chassis in detail. Wheels are coupled with O rings to make it all wheel drive. Designed in SketchUp Make and printed on a Mars 2/4, Ender 3.
  5. I have boring canal sides on my layout so I decided to make some cranes and small dioramas. I have little dovetail clips fitted to the canal sides and the cranes clip on. Mix and match and easily replaced if they don't work out. Plus, everything has to be removed to transport the layout. All designed in SketchUp Make, Blender and Makehuman. Printed on Mars 2-4 and Ender 3's. The items are just placed for the photos and will be moved around to suit the scene.
  6. Testing the SFY (transferer) Fully automatic. Nearly everything in the build was found in my garage, that's why it's a bit rough and ready. 9 locos, 4 canal boats and 10 pushers all being controlled by JMRI/CMRI, DCC++, YAAT for automation and a MERG booster for luck. What's the chance of me getting this running sweetly at a show? I reckon slim to none but I will see in a couple of weeks at Norwich MR show. Enjoy Eddy Video link here
  7. EssexBrick Model Railway. An overview and a few trains running. Fully automated using JMRI/CMRI and YAAT for the automation. Nearly everything is designed and 3d printed by myself using SketchUp Make, Makehuman and Blender. The canal boats running can be seen in one of my other videos. Enjoy Eddy Check out the video here.
  8. EssexBrick MR exhibition layout. Fully automatic 4 canal boat running. Full sequence takes about 5 mins. CPU control is JMRI/CMRI and YAAT for the automation. All designed and 3d printed by me. Mars 2-4 and Ender 3x2. YouTube video link
  9. Run your model though Prusa slicer/Fix by window repair log. Once fixed check dimensions and if all correct export the fixed model and import into your resin slicer. I would go for Chitubox or similar, not home brand slicer as they are not the best.

Please enter My layout EssexBrick. Video of EssexBrick about the 3.30 mark
  11. Thanks Nyeti. I have pickups on all wheels which goes to the 5pin connector. The motor chassis is connected to a decoder stay alive wagon. They have to run as a pair. The gear is a bevel one. I got a pluggin for Blender and you just put the numbers in and it works out the gears and it's a case of 3d printing them. Those N20 motors are a super strong motor with good slow running. Not for HST but good for my layout with slow running locos. You need a good lump of lead for decent traction. Once you design one chassis it's super cheap to print of a load of them and just add a loco body. Eddy
  12. I check my model for errors through Super slicer, Netfabb and the use Chitubox for the resin slice.
  13. 1st print of a freelance loco. It fits on top of my little chassis. Designed in SketchUp (make still free). Printed on Mars 4 9K. I liked the standee out rivets on the real loco picture and it was a good exercise in applying lots and lots of rivets in SketchUp. I know there are layer lines on top of the boiler, I will orientate it better once I fix the errors. The little bike came out well, the joy of 3d printing. Blast of car primer to highlight the detail and errors.

  15. Thanks Kevin. I think I have the automation sorted now. Had to cancel a show I was going to, which was a shame as I could of given the layout operation a good test. Eddy
  16. Mk2 Canal Side cranes. I have enough cranes now, so I will move on to something different. Printed on Ender3 Mars2/4 and designed in SketchUp

  18. The story is EssexBrick MR required and ordered 2 cranes that were lightweight, have a long reach and moveable. Mainely for loading/unloading barrels from wagons/canal boats. The truth is I made the 2 green cranes and forgot why I made them and had no space for them!! Designed in SketchUp make (still completely free). Printed on Mars 2/4 and Ender 3. Confused Eddy

  20. Need quiet a few cranes for my canal side. This first batch of 3 were all 3d printed in different ways to get the best orientation. A mix of FDM & Resin, Ender 3 & Mars 2/4. Designed in SketchUp(2017 Still FREE). They fix on the side of the canal with a dovetail type connector so they can be removed for transportation. Eddyr transportation. Eddy
