No to turn the front tail lights red. Very simply, I cut a small rectangle off a Quality Street Strawberry Delight sweet wrapper, which is clear red and stuck it over the lower LED! The photograph shows the wrapper and the LED housing.

The result of these modifications can be seen in the photo below.

I'm yet to attempt any of this on my GT3 (thank you for explaining the decoder bits!), but I've found red Sharpies a good alternative for turning white LED's red.

  2. Hello all,

This is my first post in here, so I'm not entirely sure how everything works yet (particularly, which topic it should go under).

During the first lockdown this year, I started putting together a database on Google Drive of various locomotive classes to map the extent to which each class is available as ready to run 00 gauge models. These files aren't finished yet, but I thought I'd put them up here to see what people think and to hear if there are any suggestions for improving the system.

Each class (only named classes, so far) is laid out with build and retirement dates as well as the dates of significant modification for each locomotive (example: rebuilding of Bulleid's pacifics). The product numbers for each model are listed in the chronological order of the prototype's appearance, so a newer model of an original Merchant Navy in SR Malachite is listed before a model of a rebuilt one in BR Green with late crests.

  3. They look rather good to me! That said, I’m wondering about the window-like recesses in the front of the tender. Can’t imagine they’ll be particularly visible, but should they be green?
