Mine won't move from a stand with the sound on, everything ok if you turn the sound on whilst it's moving. Am I doing something obviously wrong?

A couple of finds on Flickr. It was normally Parcels sector 31s that did it, but others were used as well. It was booked for a 47/4, usually a generator (401-420.)

My Dapol Class 29 has stopped working, ot will not move in either direction, the cab and directional lights work fine, it's address is 29. However, I have 2 Heljan Class 16s that are consisted as address 32 and when power is applied, the 29 moves as well! 

Any ideas?

Yesterday I hard wired a Lenz silver mini to a Bachmann 'Rusty' 009 chassis. Initially it ran well at lower speeds, but at maximum power it wouldn't stop, even when pressing the emergency stop button on my controller. After a while it started doing this at all power settings. I'm pretty new to DCC so wondered if anyone could give me an idea what I've done wrong?
