  1. Hi Graham,

Thanks for the quick response. How did you go about detaching the hook shank from the spring which is behind the buffer beam, as it appears to be pretty inaccessible to me.

  2. I have a similar issue. I have the DCC fitted Dapol O Gauge Autocoach. When placed on the tracks both sets of lights come on (passenger compartment and driver cab), however pressing the function keys doesn't turn the lights off. I have an NCE PowerCab.

Do these come "Pre-programmed" or do you need to do this?

  3. Thanks for the advise gentlemen. Looks like the OO gauge ID backscenes will be suitabe for the layout. I will be operating it from the front so the 15" high ones are the ones I will be using, this will give a decent amount of clearance above the buildings.

  4. Would an OO Gauge backscene be suitabe on an O gauge Layout? I'm considering using those produced by ID backscenes, in particular the "Backscene Village" series. This consists of mainly rolling hill's and farmland with a village/buildings in the distance. Has anyone here used any of the ID backscene range for their layout?

  5. I'm gathering track, locos, points, controller etc for a new O gauge layout after returning to the hobby after a 10 year break.

The layout will be using Cobalt IP digital motors and Peco code 124 points. Is it recommended to remove the point spring to enhance slow movment, and if so what is the best way to do this.
