  1. C'mon, there is no proof that they were going to release it like that, they just loaded the test sample up, and to test all the light points would have made sense ...
  2. I waited for someone to leave, I pressed them, and they called for the police! What's a man to do to get a drink of water around here?
  3. Always. On any medium your brain can automatically reorganise words and letters to make what should be gibberish into something your brain thinks it should be - a bit like how your brain deals with your Blind-spot. Although I do have a fondness for Old English where word order was relatively unimportant thanks to the way word-endings differentiate between Object and Subject, so that no matter how you organised the three words "king, kill & queen" you'd know whodunnit.
  4. Or, and this may be a radical suggestion, maybe Hornby will improve it for the next batch, as they did for the 97 and the APT. I'd suggest you were a very brave (*) manufacturer to aim to get one out before Hornby's second batch... (*) Minister
  5. I'm quite pleased I turned the TV on for BBC news to immediately tell me the result. Saved me watching . Maybe the same will happen tomorrow. I think I'll be ok with that...
  6. You're making me cry now. I apologise I thought it was funny. I feel I'm fairly well read on the ECW and I feel the funny bits are the bits best brought up in company, otherwise we're back to being bitter about stuff we can't control...
  7. I think this was my fault. I ordered a o-gauge rolling road yesterday... I can't bend down to the floor at the moment and it seemed a good idea to buy one to actually run the o gauge shunters this website keeps making me buy...
  8. Oh yes... Let's all rush off to Jerusalem to fight a war... How's that going for you?
  9. I'll never forgive Cromwell for abolishing Christmas! Image me that, no time of the year to buy people Train Sets!
  10. It may be worth proactively contacting Hornby customer support and asking if you've been charged four sets of P&P :)
  11. I might have misheard, I was only half listening, but I'm sure that the article on the BBC this morning suggested that we could DCC control our cats? I may have misheard.
  12. You've got to imagine that, as you say, having OO CADs helps as a decent starting point for the TT CADs, the corollary is that having TT CADs would mean that they have a decent starting point for the O CADs and so a step up on creating a new/better OO model. Admittedly were it me I'd not bother with the Class 66 as there are one or two other reasonably-nice OO models already in existence with other suppliers... But you'd think they'd contemplate saving development time by ensuring that any effort spent on One Scale could be passed over to the Other Scale as a "here's one we prepared earlier". You then think how important Hornby think the Class 66 is - they are willing to create a TT-only-use CAD for it.
  13. Careful, Gandhi was one of those stretcher bearers...
