  1. That was all there before the refurb and I can confirm that the trolley is immobilised. I hope you popped in the tearoom.
  2. You need one red stop signal in the direction of travel beyond the end of each platform but before the lines begin to converge and one red stop signal on each of the through lines in the direction of travel before the outer lines begin to converge. These could all be on their own signal post or on some kind of overhead gantry if that floats your boat.
  3. Platform edge doors now, no objections will be entertained, if it saves one life...
  4. Something I remember seeing on the news, a long wall of containers stacked up about four or five high as a screen against sniper fire.
  5. Are they hoping to attract the WFH crowd between Wrexham and Shrewsbury doing the TWT thing in London but not wanting to change trains even though it goes a round about way? That's an awful lot of multiplying by a small decimal.
  6. I would call the pink ones red ochre and the yellow ones ochre, both faded to various tints.
  7. This is not true at all. A contract with the state to deliver certain products and services? Where's that bit of company law stated?
  8. Found it, like 04:28 but slower, around half speed @puddin68
  9. It certainly got me thinking of something in N on a Mosslanda shelf.
  10. Those Barnum coaches must be the ugliest I've seen in the UK. Like something you would see being pulled by a saddle tank on one of the smaller heritage lines.
  11. Are you sure? The concept of the 'reasonable man' appears frequently in UK law, isn't that just another term for common sense?
  12. Isn't it fairly trivial to occupy a track circuit?
  13. One cliche I have never seen on a layout, only in real life, is a bird eating a fox (fox sliced in two).
  14. Plenty of scope to retard the outgoing services but the unit swap in the afternoon (arrowed) restricts the timings of the return services by holding them to a crossing at Arisaig.
  15. Well I've still not seen it explored beyond 'can't do' so I'll leave you all to it.
  16. What change in operational concept? It's the steam train timings that should be explored, not the service trains (which are tied to the ferries). No heritage operation meets the 'MOT'. Close them all.
  17. Fort William 15 miles Viaduct 1 mile Loop 16 miles Loop 8 miles Mallaig Service trains journey time is 1.5 hours so average speed is not much more than 25mph anyway Signalling is RETB so no restrictions there, it's all down to the trackwork. It must be doable.
  18. Fifty miles with four trains per day each way doing 45mph maximum, there will be paths between this intensive service.
  19. Why not run the train at 25mph and dispense with the locking requirement.
