    It's more to make sure I know which '37 I'm moving as I have several running at the same time on my mainline and in and out of my fiddle yard, as I have, on more than one occasion collided into my rolling stock causing derailment's when I thought I was moving one loco but wasn't, I really have to re number the loco's but having recently inherited over 60 various diesel and steam loco's that need servicing, cleaning, repairing etc. it's a ongoing process

    I would like to fit Head and Tail lights both ends. I could use a pre-made set, but working out exactly where to drill holes in the body is beyond my expertise, this way, if the drill holes are not exactly perfectly placed it would have little overall effect.

    I intend to use single LED's both end's, so using a  Laisdcc 1K Ohm 1/8 SMD resistor board with it to save space.

      That's certainly one approach. But, what is it of the single LEDs that are going to use on what of both ends?

      White on the nose's and red on the tail's - very useful way of telling which end of an elephant is facing you.
