  1. This sign was at a river bridge near a disused railway line in Devon. They don't make them at that angle any more!
  2. The point motors on one side of my layout work nicely but I am adding a goods yard and all the point motors there work but buzz noisily. Same Peco PL-10E motors. Similar SPDT mini toggles on a control panel. Similar Peco Streamline oo gauge turnouts. The main difference is it is about 4 metres further from the Gaugemaster CDU. The wire from CDU to the control panel is 5 amp 24/0.2 . The wires from control panel to point motors is the same 16/0.2 that worked ok before. Some connections are with screw terminals and others soldered. Do I need a second CDU near the goods yard or is there something else I can do to stop the buzzing?
  3. I recommend the Holife handheld vacuum cleaner. It has 30 minutes battery, coarse and HEPA filters, and useful around house and car eg after small DIY jobs. Not the cheapest but excellent quality. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07WD7T61J
  4. Very interested to see I am not he only one modelling bits of Salisbury from the early 1960s. My layout will have Salisbury Station, the GWR terminus, Milford Goods Yard and The Market House around the room as the main features. All greatly simplified to fit oo gauge in a room 14 x 8 feet. For example the station has 4 platforms and the goods yard has 5 sidings. So far I have the track and electrics nearing completion. How are you progressing? Michael
  5. Why do people cut the chairs off sleepers that are going to have joiners? I am using Peco code 100 Flexitrack in 00 gauge (SL-100) and Peco metal joiners. I forgot to do this on one section and just pushed the joiners on with a flat tool as I usually do. it looks to me perfectly ok, if not better, and the height of the track is fine. So what is the problem if I don't cut those chairs off?
