Just bought brand new Bachmann Class 40, D248 (DCC ready) locomotive for my layout. It has cab lights and directional head and tail lights. There is a switch on the bottom of the locomotive whereby you can turn on or turn off either cab or loco lights. I switched off the cab lights and left direction lights on. All well to begin with but suddenly, after a few days of running, the directional lights at one end plus its twin tail lights, failed to operate, but in one direction only. Travel in the opposite direction continued working. I took off the body and check to see if anything was amiss but all looked fine. Can anyone shed light on what has gone wrong here. I have other Bachmann diesels (mainly Class 42/43 Warships) and have had no problems. Thank you in advance. Nick

New member here. run a large layout in a double garage and I try to run trains at speeds that look "authentic". I run an extensive service of both passenger, parcels and freight traffic. Most passenger trains run at scale 60mph which is a 45 second circuit. 75mph is 40 seconds and 90mph is 35 seconds. Running a model railway in the manner that I do, if it looks right, then it is right and I think I've just about got it right! I subscribe to the clickety click method to gain a realistic looking speed
Not very scientific but heyho, it works for this layout!
