K reg. 1972-3. So about 4-5 years old and getting towards the end of it's useful life. Probably would have got replaced by one of the many Commer Walkthru vans shortly after.

thanks Merf, I hadn't spotted the reg no.
I am working on a project set in 1973 and I thought I had the road vehicle's clear in my mind . Now I am not so sure ... a week before its first exhibition, never mind!!

hi Adam
very nice photo for modelling purposes. thanks for your post .
I thought that these beasts ceased being used by the Railways long before 1977 ?
Although it is looking less than pristine,to my eyes it looks like it is still seeing some use and is parked outside a typical railway building.

Hi All
spending hours again searching for images of early seventies street scenes .
Not sure if I have copied this correctly , hope somebody can advise if I haven't.
This guy has some late sixties gems , but they are mixed in with more modern stuff.
Hope the drivers were OK
kind regards
Martin

Hi Chris
thanks for the Dutch website link, I found it very useful. I got some great translations 'Not everryone in the fingers' + 'go weeding the weeds ' being my favs .
When you first posted this topic back in April my seed packet was still un opened on my desk.
Now mine have germinated in the cold frame and I will be potting them on soon.
Not proclaiming to be an expert gardener , but we have been growing veg for a number of years .
No two years are the same in the garden ,this year in Suffolk I would estimate that things are about 4 to 6 weeks behind the expected norm .
Growing things is in my experience , very like modelling, in that you learn by your mistakes.
Better luck with your second sowing.
