Looking forward to getting my hands on some. I have mine on pre order with Rails, still awaiting dispatch along with my Accura Mk2s

Anyone else yet to receive their RTC pack? Not complaining more curious and excited!

Do any retailers still have stock of the buffet car? I’ve just been paid but I can’t seem to find any retailers with them in stock.

I must say I’m a huge fan of the packaging. Much more clean and easier to remove.

Has anyone else who ordered 7802 from Key Publishing not been emailed about payment yet?

Not really sure where to post this but I guess this is the best place to post; whenever I try to verify my NatPres account I never get the email, I’ve tried multiple accounts also used the contact form on the website I never get a reply.

Mid Hants today announcing the last coach doesn't fit at Medstead and people need to move forwards. Can't recall them doing that previously.
This has always been the practice AFAIK at Highley on the SVR and on the Gwili Railway. -

The comment was made on screen that "the cab is too high" and it was a 3D print, so I'd expect the final version to be closer to scale.
I agree that the chassis needs to be dimensionally similar to that of the existing starter locos, or Hornby will have to do the job all over again if they want to make DCC versions of any of them.
John
It’s also worth noting that on the CAD images the chassis also looks like the existing one. I for one would be grateful if Hornby would release a DCC ready version of the 0-4-0 chassis, less burnt fingers for me then!- 2

With regards to the B4 which may or may not be overscale, I’m almost certain that at least the moulded brake blocks, wheelbase, wheel diameter and coupling rods are identical to the current 0-4-0 chassis.

I had one of the early Bachmann Manors, probably about 1994, ran like a watch and cost about £50 or a little less. Probably none left now.
Someone is also selling a Bachmann Frilsham Manor "runs but with a definite wobble" for £49.99
I don't know if that's madness or not. New Manors (however wonderful) at £329.00 is more like lunacy.
Running issues aside I don’t think the Bachmann Manor is a bad model, especially considering it’s age.- 1

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but at the moment there’s no option for premium in my themes, only RMweb 2021, test theme and temporary. Any ideas?

I feel like 56060 with sound is priced to compete with the new sound fitted Cavalex offering, which hasn’t got an RRP yet but is likely to be around £289.99. If this is the case Hornby are either making a loss on the sound gubbins or the DCC ready 56 is hugely overpriced at £217.99 when you can get a sound fitted one for £46 more.

I wonder if 4073 will have NRM (or whatever it’s called this week) packaging, considering it’s in service condition and not as preserved? I know the second release of 4003 also had NRM packaging despite being in lined Shirtbutton service condition. I picked up the first new tool release of 4073 as preserved for £145 last year so I’m quite happy with that.

Will there actually be an announcement video by SK this year? Hornby social media just says to check the website at 7am.

looking at sold items someone paid £850 for a Hornby R1172 Majestic set .
so ultra rare there are at least two on eBay for £400 . Maybe should buy and double my money !
My younger self (I’m 20) always wanted that set, but now I’m at the point where it all looks far too toy-like apart from the pacific.- 1

It runs well and quietly on the Kato controller on my test track. I haven’t actually used the set controller but I do note that has a hi / lo switch on the back so I will endeavour to try it out and see if that makes a difference to the reported noise as it seems to be that rather than the loco as others have reported it’s also quiet when they switched to their Gaugemaster controllers.
Detail is good, it runs slowly and smoothly on Peco code 55 including points, far line, and over the large plastic frog on the Hornby code 80, near line.
Can’t report on haulage ability as there are only three coaches but it seems weighty and I don’t expect any issues.
The front buffer beam appears to be pointing slightly down, is the running board diecast or plastic? -
Are the coaches on the website without the working areas listed going to have blank ends?

Is there any difference between your model of 50017 'Royal Oak' in BR condition and her current condition as a preserved loco on the GCR?
I know in the 80s 50017 had the NSE logo on the headcode box (not sure if this was on one or both ends) but I don’t know if there are any other differences on the preserved version.

Mine arrived yesterday, having had a good look and a little play it looks and sounds great. Some little niggles though, first of all as the loco sets off the sound seems to completely stop before ‘chuffing’ away, and there are unfortunately some wonky parts and paint drips here and there. Still quite happy though.
