Ah ha I see the loco you're talking about now! I thought the chat was about the 'right price' kit being built a couple of pages back, which is clearly an 03. Sorry for confusing and hijacking your thread father D.

Beg to differ guys, in my eyes it has 03 front cab windows. 04 front windows weren't curved at the bottom to the contour of the bonnet like on an 03.
I think there's something amiss around the rainstrips on the cab roof that is making it look like an 04 cab.
Finally I don't think 04s had the bulge in the bonnet in front of the cab that is present on 03s.

I think the boffins should keep an eye on the stats for number of visits over the next week or two, these totally irrelevant and annoying flashing ads will mean I for one will be visiting less often.

Out of interest has anyone built the PRMRP Shark Brake van kit?
Looks a pretty decent kit not sure if my soldering skills are up to the challenge though.
Brian Daniels thread shows one in stages of build, although with his skill level he does tend to make it look easy! Search for prmrp shark if this link doesn't work.

Does anybody please have the instructions for a Mega Kits 7mm BR Stanier/Kitson 0-4-0ST 47005-47009? And if so would they please be able to send me a scan/copy?
It's the later version with the longer bunker and shorter tank, although I assume instructions for either version would do as most of the remainder is the same. Thanks in advance.

Sorry I have no idea of dates.

Another possible would be Heljan spares from Howes, it can be worth phoning them even if their website says out of stock.

Hi Michael, As discussed on the phone earlier, cheque will be in the post tomorrow for a kit of 7mm version of the Ruston 165 0-6-0.

Sorry for the thread hi-jack, but anybody reading this thread and wants a copy of the book mentioned earlier in the thread. One bargain copy for £3.73 left here:
Guess who bought the other copy?!
No connection to seller, just a happy customer!

RH 165 0-6-0 should be the next 7mm kit but with summer getting in the way now it won't be until the autumn.
Have priorities changed on this one?
Sorry to quote your post from May, please understand I'm not holding you to that autumn statement I realise you're a busy man!

was that Bristol Blue or just normal glass ?. I think the photo shows the approx postn of Lycett's drum works ( in later years ) There was also a Gas works in the area.
Photo 2 shows the Midland side of the approach to Temple Meads. The water goes under the bridge and eventally reaches the Feeder canal.
This carries the over flow away from the floating harbour.
Powell and Ricketts did just normal glass as far as I know, I used to dig up lots of mostly broken beer and mineral water bottles with P&R B stamped on the bottom.

The glass works would have been Powell and Ricketts, I think they lasted until the early 1920's. My early teens bottle collecting in the 1970's finally comes in useful!

Thanks guys, push my luck now. Anybody have interior pictures or layout plan for these please?
