  1. Well pleased with my 2, one chocolate/cream and one crimson. Ordered Sunday afternoon and arrived Tuesday morning. Both run extremely well without any running in needed. Noted the missing brown paint on the central doors, not a problem to add with some decal film and a bit of colour matching. Simon
  2. I’ve been following your thread and enjoying your journey. A long time ago the club I was a member of built a layout with the Tewksbury shed area modelled reasonable accurately, one of the thing I did was to put together some wagons, and seeing your reference to S Healing & Son it’s one of those i did. The photo shows it and some of the others, a bit of modellers license used but do look convincing. Simon
  3. I think we are all becoming feed up with these multiple adds all the time, it's definitely not enjoyable anymore. As this is more about the money now, do I want to stay, probably not. Simon
  4. I've been doing a service on the Schaublin lathe which was long over due, also took the opportunity to make some imperial collets as sourcing these F12 ones is quite expensive. Simon v
  5. It's been a while but I've been thinking about how to manufacture the clack valves. Other than the hand wheels which took the longest to make everything else was straight forward. Next on the list is the injectors. Simon
  6. This is the link to our build which should give the a better understanding of the reason we went for this design, we've not done much for a while but hopefully will see some some done in the future. Simon
  7. This is our take on the fiddle yard, this is for 16mm scale. Simon gw
  8. Bit of a plug for our open day and Model Railway Exhibition on 1st August at the Bredgar & Wormshill Light Railway in Kent, see link for details and booking for tickets. Bredgar WEB site Simon
  9. Sunday 1st August at the Bredgar & Wormshill Light Railway will be our next open day which will also feature a Model Railway Exhibition. Please see WEB site for details and tickets. Bredgar WEB site Simon
  10. That's correct which is useful when painting the more complex kits, also if any problems crop up with motors, pickups or anything else inside the frames. My photo shows the Nelson build which was complex with inside valve gear also fitted. Simon
  11. My removable brake gear from a recent build, small hex bolts hold all in place using the holes in the top of the shoes. Simon
  12. Yes I volunteer at the railway, keep an eye on the WEB site. We have the classic car event tomorrow but with limited rides because of restrictions, but hopeful that our model railway show in August will have less restrictions. Simon
