Mine arrived and it looks exquisite. And tiny!  But how are people coupling these without throwing it thru the window?!  my initial ‘new loco’ excitement has turned to frustration  is there a knack I don’t have?

I’ve used 7”, 8” & 10” Lenovo tabs with my Z21 and yes they all have 2 controllers used in landscape. The 7 I find a bit small, 8 is a good size, 10 a little oversize.

Julian May’s Saga of the Exiles - The Many Coloured Land, The Golden Torc, The Nonborn King, The Adversary. I first read them back around 1984/5 and still enjoy reading them now. Out of print for several years but have been rereleased and also available on the Kindle store. Won the Locust Best Novel award.

I really like it and bought one at Warley. I think it's great that Bachmann are at last offering something unusual in N for Collectors Club members as they have in OO and hope it sells well. We might see some of the other OO specials like the Silverlink 150 or LNER 47 made available in N.

My answer was that AFAIC it isn't and was only to be welcomed as another all N gauge publication - if the market could support it then great - and that it offered additional not alternative reading.

Absolutely agree, Grahame. In fact my membership is up for renewal this month. (The cheque is in the post ) I would be more likely to drop the 'generic' model mags, which do encompass N but inevitably have to bow to the popularity of OO, in favour of N specific.

Do Heljan have a policy of making their models as difficult as possible to fit a DCC decoder? Remove the airhorns? Prise out the doors? Not for me unfortunately. I'm not averse to some disassembly but Heljan seem to go out of their way to increase the risk of damage/loss of small parts for decoder fitting. Shame.

Just read all through this thread which took just over 2 hours. Time very well spent! Fantastic attention to detail with the street furniture and all built from scratch. I'm not averse to building kits but have never scratchbuilt anything. I'm feeling inspired to give something small a try. Look forward to seeing your progress.

I'm all in favour of modernising and updating and increasing capacity and mostly in favour of HS2. However a cheaper and quickly implemented network wide solution to overcrowding and network congestion would seem to me to be

Get rid of 2 of the 4 empty 1st class carriages on Euston - Birmingham/Wolves (and elsewhere) pendolinos in favour of 2 std class

Increase the length of all those overcrowded 4&5 car EMUs/DMUs to.... 6! (or even 8. )

Found this thread whilst looking for ideas with a similar problem. No changes in environment at all but suddenly signal was going up and down and dropping after 2 years of trouble free use. Tried the usual solutions - new batteries (3 sets!), checked controller id (0), factory reset (deleted 40 locos!) and dropped an email to Bachmann (waiting for response). I also have a Belkin router so thought "what the heck, I'll try it" and lo! Dynamis works again. BUT! Turning the router back on, doesn't bring back the same problem which makes me wonder if there's something else causing interference.

However, all is working again (for now) but I'll be saving my pennies for a new system I think. (Need to find another job first tho!)

Only thing is .. I LIKE my dynamis. It does everything I want - runs 4 locos simultaneously, 40 loco database not limited to a 2 loco stack, trigger/latch functions for sound locos and it's not a console. It has a large, clear display free of hieroglyphics and it didn't cost the earth. Decisions! Dec isions!
