Hi Andy
No sorry I dont use JMRI, never will to be honest.
I would use some thing like I train.
I would guess 3 aiu,s connected should be ok, as long as they have different cab addresses. strange it only sees the first six id think that was an issue with JMRI itself.

Sorry forgot top add
For the SB5
6 cabs can be used with the SB5 (Cab address range 2 through 7.

Hi! I am currently far away and lying in the sun (sorry!) so I don’t have things to hand. My setup is similar to yours and uses Cabs 4 & 5 for the AIUs for definite. I know you can go to 8 or so but not sure whether it’s 8, 9 and 10.
Addresses 8/9 and ten are more for the power cab as long as you have version 1.65B.
The PH pro its governed by two things the free cab addresses up to 63, and the cab bus load which is one amp before external power is needed.
All items inc the face plate draw some current on the cab bus
AIU 24mA at idle / 90mA at full load
Throttle 85mA - back light flicker = low voltage
UTP 30 mA
USB interface 30mA

But you'd only use the PSX on the track power bus. If you have a separate accessory bus which is connected on the Powercab side of the PSX, then you'd have 1.27A for the trains plus still have up to 0.73A for your accessories and a 2A Powercab can't supply any more power.
Not quite true.
The power cab has a 1.8A load output, so you would share the 1.8A across the track and accessory bus, you would only have 0.73A if you maxed out the load on the track.
Having said that, if you reached 1.27A then the trip would turn off the power anyway.

Do we have any news on this or has it died a death.
Not a lot been said, as it was said to be the best thing for DCC I wonder!!!

Hi.
Use a Train Tech digital relay to switch the power feed.
And use a switch connected to the minoi panel to turn it on and off

Hi Guys
I have used the 4 mini panel entry's to control 4 10 macros stored in the pro system giving you 40 steps on 1 push button
I have also mixed accessory commands and macros on a single switch this works fine.
If anyone needs help just ask,
I also know that there something in the pipeline with more functionality but still akin to a mini panel due out soon

HI Gordon s
That looks very smart if I may say so.
Well done, is it now connected to your ECoS and working.
Regards.

DCC Concepts also do a 6 core RJ12 curly cable if you need to source one at any time

Hi Alcanman.
Make sure the one you ordered has 6 cores and not 4, if its 4 its not going to work.

I had increased my macro slots by using a free downloaded PC program and used this as it has multiple commands.
I used one virtual button on my PC to operate over 60 turnouts as a startup test.
And i also have about 40 plus routes set on to individual buttons some of these include Signals as well as the turn outs.

Hi Ray
What is the NCE system you are using, Please.
John.

Hi
Drop them an email and ask how it all works.

You can if using Big Bear create the multi point macro in the software and operate it via a onscreen virtual button.
I have a lot of multi point macro commands stored in my Big Bear, all operated by the virtual buttons, the software even allow timed delays to be inserted between actions .
i also have on button that sets all the points on the layout left then right as a test if needed.
As Nigel said above with out going to a larger system you wont get the 49 macros you will need to do what you want it to do.
if you need any help drop me a message i use the mini panel for all sorts of things

ITrain does work with NCE however it doesn’t support it fully for all NCE command stations. The reasons are all down to NCE as they have changed the command interface several times, changed commands and even dropped commands from the interface. This when allied to the very poor documentation for the NCE interface and a lack of engagement from NCE with the ITrain author has placed him in a position where for NCE if it works it works, if not then it doesn’t.
He has however just developed a new patch to make ITrain V5 able to use NCE to a larger extent.
The author is as frustrated as you probably are however the problem lies with NCE and not ITrain.
What feed back units are required for NCE and how do the connect to the NCE system.John.

What motors are you using please
John.
-
OK
I just wondered why you would use a separate switch to change a set of route indicator leds, when the point motor would do this for you as it would also isolate the tracks.
John.
-
Am i correct in thinking That your using the SPST switch to control the led and the DPDT switch to throw the motor,
Also what are the diodes fitted at point X/Z for.
