  1. The layout list has been updated above and the trade list is now available. Delighted to welcome some new faces including Bachmann.

Join us in June for one if the UKs top exhibitions at the Dewars Centre Perth. Around 40 layouts supported by 35 trade and society stands.
  3. Join us this June for one of the UKs top model railway exhibitions at the Dewars Centre Perth.
  4. Thanks for responding, I should have been clearer, my question is whether or not the blue grey livery mk2c had ScotRail or Intercity lettering.
  5. A quick question which may end up in a long answer. Did the Mk2c TSO(T) coaches have ScotRail or Intercity branding. I can't tell from a couple of you tube videos / Flickr images i've looked at. If it was ScotRail, the question then will be how easy will it be to remove the Intercity on the Accurascale models to replace with ScotRail. Only time will tell.
  6. An excellent video, part of a really interesting set. Check out the train at 3:03, great excuse to buy up reduced BSOs when manufacturers make too many and the TSOs go out of stock. Another useful video is below. I think there are a couple filmed at Larbert which I will try to find, although they are late 80s rather mid 80s. You'd just have to watch out for Aberdeen bound services, as in the one on the thumbnail. At Perth in tbe 80s, Aberdeen or Dundee services used the curved platforms, Inverness services the straight platforms.
  7. I am looking to renumber some of my Bachmann maroon liveried MK1 coaches and was going to use Fox Transfers. Mostly to renumber them to an Sc rake. I see they offer them in a number of different shades, off white, gold, metallic gold, yellow and possibly straw. I think the yellow is for Southern Region, but the others mention maroon. There is a comment on some of them: "There seems to be a certain amount of disagreement regarding the actual colours of lettering, numbering and lining on these liveries and so to cover all eventualities we produce the full range of shades for each purpose." I was wondering if anyone could confirm which colour is closest to the colour used by Bachmann on their maroon liveried Mk1s?
  8. The weather held for a fun time at the Saturday evening BBQ organised by the club fir exhibitors. A BBQ, a bar, and train rides on our miniature railway set in woodland at our Wester Pickston site just outside Perth. If you are exhibiting next year be sure to sign up for the Saturday night event.
  9. Yip, it always gets hot in the halls, even with the doors open. One of our younger and presumably more enterprising members was planning on popping across to Aldi and Lidl to buy up all their ice lollies and then selling them at the back door for an extortionate price!
  10. Thanks for you kind comments. A really busy day yesterday, it never ceases to amaze me how an ice rink can be so warm! Was great to a big que of folks eager to get in and our two American layouts seem to have performed well on their first outing.
  11. On Saturday parking charges will apply. Car Parking Charges: 15 Mins / Drop Off: Free Up to 2 hours - 30p Up to 4 hours - 50p Up to 6 hours - £7.00 Up to 10 hours - £12.00 If visitors expect to be there for more than 4 hours they may want to consider the park and ride at Broxden or Scone. The Broxden Park and Ride passes the Dewars Centte. There are no parking charges on the Sunday.
  12. We are taking two layouts to our show this summer. Neither have been seen at Perth before. Both are set on the Western side of North America. Calafountain our new N Gauge features more trees than you can shake a stick at! A river, a family of bears and long freight trains. San Andreas Beach is a large O Gauge layout layout featuring orange blossom trees, a beach and some lovely O Gauge rolling stock.
  13. Just over a week to go until Perth Model Railway Exhibition. A wee taster of one of the 40 layouts which will be on show to inspire visitors. Kilbowie by Greenock MRCKilbowie is based on the old Glasgow Central low-level line in Clydebank. It will be displaying green and blue diesel stock. The frontage features the Forth and Clyde Canal at Kilbowie Swing Bridge with the Singer factory on the right.
  14. A list if the traders attending can be found on our website. https://smet.org.uk/show/trade/
