Just come back from the show and it's a lovely little show well worth a visit.

Really enjoyed the show today but had to leave earlier than planned due to dodgy knees giving too much pain (too much demolition this week).
Really loved Washery Halt I watched it for ages but all the layouts were to a very high standard. Well worth a visit.

Very sad! I went to a recording of I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue at Preston at which she was a guest and was hilarious.
Gone too soon.

I was told there are some 'strange' people at Colas by some ex employees who had run ins with them. Watch your back mate!
Nice to see a pic of 158821 which was my first derailment I was involved in.

Had a taxing night, late running passenger services knocking me for time, a loco failure and eventual swap and an unexpected run to carlisle!!
A few pics to follow when i upload them when i get home but basically the night started in warrington with 66847 at the helm and ended in carlisle 12 hours later with 56302 on the train!
Bloody knackered and still on my way back to crewe on a voyager (just coming down shap) for a well deserved sleep before i book back on at 23:59 to take 6C37 back to carlisle (on the plus side its still the 56 on it)
You're welcome to all that messing about mate That's one thing I don't miss about the freight life, much easier just stepping on and off.

Mine is doing exactly the same. It's still crying after it's day out to Warley.

My Mum and Dad used to regularly dog sit for their friends two Rottweilers. The years passed without too many problems except one escaping after the old man left the side gate open when he came back from the pub. So of course the search party goes out looking only to find the dog has returned home which was well over a mile away and got into his back yard which was locked and my Dad had to use a ladder to get in how he got in we still don't know. The other time they had trouble the male dog had passed away and only the female was left, so they were taking her in the car to take her for a walk near the beach. Unfortunately she decided to jump out of the window when she saw another dog to play/fight with but the lead was around my Mums hand and injured my Mum as well as herself but luckily not serious but my Mum was bruised for weeks. So I think I'd give it a miss myself.

Found this year was not as good as last year I'm afraid, only 'modern image' were Hornby models from the 70s and 80s.
I don't think I'll bother next year unless there's a bit more variety.
