  1. Hmmmmm. Could always do with more 90s Locos for my (soon to be started) Layout!

Thanks Ade, Martyn, Kevin, Andy and Bogie, I just enjoy the building side of the hobby, so the next one will be a little different, with NO sweeping curves I'm afraid.

    As a hint to the future;

FOR SALE = OO Gauge Blue / Railfreight  period, Locos, most Sound Fitted, and some 80's / 90's Rolling Stock, please PM with your requirements for more details.

    No overseas postage I'm afraid.

Took 313 to NSE Latchmere a few weeks ago to give it some running trials and ensure all the lighting, circuits and motor work ok.

I had to build the remaining 3rd car the DMS to complete the tests and unbeknown to myself, the first coach I built was the DMBS.

The tests proved successful and the unit runs well and all lighting works successfully.

I even got to run it alongside the 2EPB units they replaced, lol

Can I pay you to build a 313 for me! Haha!

Been so tempted to start buy the bits (currently out of stock) and then give it a go.. but I've never kit built before - The shame!

  3. I doubt you would have a 25mph entry speed into a bay platform. Station limits would apply and maximum speed would be around 10- 15 mph.

From my experience the decrease down to 15mph for station limits its not often sign posted. For example; driving into Brighton, you're bought down to 25 (main) or 20 (east/ west coast) but then there's no sign for 15 at the Platform. It's just known. So same could be said here. The point work speed is 25mph but once you hit the platform its down to 15. :)

  4. I've just had confirmation that Oak Road will be at the Gaugemaster show on the 1st / 2nd of September this year and to say I'm over the moon is an understatement. That's four great shows this year!  :O

    Rotarail - 28th April

    Gaugemaster - 1st / 2nd September

    Worthing - 29th / 30th September

    Taunton - 27th / 28th October

Once I've got a more reliable van I should be able to start venturing a bit further North!

Oooh. Will have to check the September shows out! Only down the road in Brighton.

Happy to offer services to help with running/ setup.

  5. Hold on a moment, I've changed my mind, I will now be modelling 2004 which is the transition period between slam door and modern rolling stock. This means I have access to a larger variety of units such as the 421's and the 423's in South Central, South West Trains and Network South East which still appeared across the network whilst also having access the the class 159'2, 450's and class 377's. Whilst looking over my layout and it's track-plan, I was thinking to myself that there was too much track and how Network rail would have streamlined it perhaps removing the sidings and a platform so I decided to bring the layout back a decade to a more realistic era for the track plan I currently have. Many thanks.

    Rory

I wouldn't rip up the track in a hurry! Bognor Regis for example still has all 4 platforms and sidings. During most of the day only 2 platforms really need to be used.
