  1. I don't think there is anything wrong with having lots of locos...it must be nice to own models of so many of those east coast race horses! Are the a4 / a3's all the latest Hornby model and the peppercorns Bachmann?
  2. What an undertaking...just superb! I Haven't had chance to read the whole thing but how many pacifics do you have from each class?
  3. Hi Great Northern, Sorry if I have missed and it has already been mentioned, but what components have you used for your signals? Are they MSE? They look superb - I really like the two colour lights at the south end of the station as well. it must be great modelling a real location, knowing that you can make an exact replica of each signal etc. I really want to model a real location in the future. Enjoying the thread so please keep posting!
  4. Well, pretty good actually if anyone's interested! I picked a Brake Third up today, its a superb model. Picture shows the Hawksworth Brake third, a Collett Third and a Collett Brake Composite forming a secondary express on my Cambrian layout. Motive power is a Bachmann Collett Goods, in black with a Honby Dean Goods 3,000 gal tender body on a Mainly Trains chasis. Apologies the lighting is not as good as it could be.
  5. Well I must say these coaches look excellent. Hoping to pick a C and C brake composite from my local model shop this morning. I have 2 Bachmann collett's, a brake and a corridor composite with which I plan to run it with as a secondary express. I appreciate that there will be a difference in quality, but has anyone matched up these 2 coach types? I haven't seen any mention of this on here.
  6. I know that there was some discussion around the tenders, but I wonder if the 4,000 gal collett is from the grange? I assume that's a decent model and would count as new tooling for the castle. Any thoughts?
  7. This really does look to be a superb model...a good advance on the previous version. Can anyone confirm the earlier point about the tender...does it use the same single drawbar as the old model and the existing hawksworth tender? I wonder if this means the collett tender will also b re-used?
