Seeing some of the above comments - try reading the whole thread and using Paul's web-site - most of the answers as to vehicle type / liveries etc will be there somewhere ................................ -
Accurascale Class 55 Deltic - 4mm scale
Southernman46 replied to Andy Y's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
I remember being there - up behind the stops and the boos the HST driver in the adjacent platform got for trying to replicate the Deltic horns ...... were we really that loony ??? -
Hmmm - weird looking without the horn grille - you can seen the join lines in the plasticard too 😁

Wasn't there a 31 with no headcode box at just one end ?

Great news 👍 The 1/800 Express Parcels version also done by Dapol as B533, WR3-08 and also as a barrier van B564. The Signalbox MR as a 300-piece limited edition SBB6. An OK body moulding IMHO - I've added metal handrails, proper buffers, new lettering and replaced the diecast / clunky plastic running gear with Parkside chassis'. ISTR it was a pair of these vehicles that departed the rear of a newspaper train near Newington in Kent back in the day - the disappearance of which only became apparent when the orchards' owner phoned BR to ask when they were coming to recover their wagons - the missing tail lamp on the remaining train had been quietly "forgotten" about as many things that happened at night once did ...... -

S'been done on the Continent as sets with the "trains" concept - limited editions though MW-1602 - Oostende - Koln for example - trying to get the baggage car individually in that livery is like trying to find Unicorn dung by digging with a hen's tooth 😬 All LS models products ISTR. -

Why is it that seeing that every AS Mk2c on the planet is sold out - I now feel the need to get some ? 🤣 -
Whilst basking (without consideration) in the relatively prosperous peaceful Country / society that all these past "Monsters" have created & maintained ............. The political past is a foreign country and should neither be apologised for / or regretted - it happened - these idiots and apologists who insist on dragging it up for whatever purpose - need take the lessons from it and move on - unless their goal is to deliberately stir up trouble. Just my tuppence ha'pennyworth as an OWM (we know nothing and are the cause of all societies' evils apparently).

Indeed, was fortunate enough to pick one up pre-loved at TrainWest in 2014 after missing the initial release due to a modelling hiatus. Wish they'd re-release the Class 23 and correct that awful headcode box -

Great to see these back for re-run - personally planning to get a GFYE 5707 to partner blue 5701 (w) on the never-knowingly photographed Southampton portion via the DN & S of the weekly ICI limestone train from Tunstead 😉. Just an observation - there has always seemed (to me) to be too much wheel showing below the bogie - am I correct or being fooled by the wheels being "shiny-ish", flat and devoid of detail ?
