  1. There is plenty to find in Betteshanger county park.
  2. I don't think they are that bad. If you want to see huge then look at the Kernow Railmotor.
  3. I have had a few, I now have Nextbase 122 units which are sub £70.
  4. Not Sure what tender chassis they used, but not the Brit.
  5. The picture on ROS site clearly shows the large couplings.
  6. Seems to be the norm out there. Used by another producer everybody is wetting their knickers over.
  7. Yes they should be flush, although there are photos of them being clearly visible so I'm not too bothered about them.
  8. Strange the EFE CC1 Boosters don't look much like BFB wheels either.
  9. Hope the lining on my grey CC1 is not that bad.
  10. No thanks. That is why I won't buy the Bachmann versions. I can always see the join on the green versions, Not to bad with FYE which masks it, but they are not my era.
  11. Does anybody remember who made these converter from Dublo to tension lock couplings? I thought I bought them from Keen couplings but can't see them listed.
  12. As the next movement will back the way it came, I expect the driver has changed the blind before changing ends.
  13. Precision paints do the correct colour P137 Light grey. How well it matches Bachmann's colour is another matter. https://www.phoenix-paints.co.uk/products/paint-products/precisionrailway/nationalised/diesel-electric-colours/14p137
  14. Yes, but but they didn't have a 13' high end butting up to a 12' coach making them look tall.
  15. Which means it is around 8" higher than even MK1 coaches.
  16. Funny that, all the pictures I have seen, show a chain drive from the middle axle to the valve gear.
  17. Getting the bogies to swing with the tapered body line and go around anything like trainset curves. mine struggles with 3' radius. The bogie pivot does have to be further back but not enough to allow the body swing out too far and clout the lineside furniture.
  18. On analogue control. Four white lights at the front when running forward and two red tender lights. Two red lower front lights when running in reverse. No cab light on mine. I'll be disconnecting the white lights as I normally do anyway. I don't like white searchlights when they should be a yellow glow.
  19. Received mine from Rails in original livery, but I rather like the BR green now I have seen it. Well it looks like a GT3, nice paint finish and grill details, lovely runner with nice response to the controller, better than both my Accurascale models.
  20. I pre ordered one from Hornby for £23.90 including postage. Not sure where this massive price increase is.
  21. Not that hard to achieve by allowing the pinion to rise and fall on splines on the motor shaft.
