  1. T Thanks! I will start a thread for it once I settle on a track plan. Re the four wheel coaches, one big advantage is that they look far better on the curves than bogie stock
  2. Thanks for that. In the meantime I'd taken a punt on a new one, the IWCR train pack. I'm happy (relieved!) to say the whole set runs on these Fleischman 250mm, around 10 inch, radius curves. The Terrier's fine, the coaches groan a little but are ok.
  3. It's looking really good, hard to believe it's so small. Great layout!
  4. Happy days! Maybe guest checkout doesn't work with preorders because they're not taking payment yet so need to save details?
  5. That first picture in particular looks great!
  6. I just preordered no. 10 successfully, though have been registered on the site for a while. Maybe register first then preorder?
  7. Great to see another post on this layout, really enjoyed it on here and YouTube. I did wonder if the Hornby 110 DMU would run round these curves, looks like the answer is yes! Don't suppose you've tried one of the new Hornby Terriers round there? The old ones are fine, nice deep flanges and lots of sideplay, but the new versions look like they might be a bit fussier.
  8. That does indeed look good. Seriously tempted. But that means I'd also have to buy the pack containing number 11. Damn you pretty red livery!
  9. I ordered a P class, post bombshell, order was accepted and confirmed. I take that as a positive sign.
  10. I did 7.5" curves on my Christmas display, with a cardboard template on the inside, pva glue and a few nails tapped in round the outside. One end was perfect but I did get a bit of a point at the other that probably reduced the radius to about 6". Thankfully not a problem for the Bachmann tram I was using. Next time I'd use far more nails, or pins, and put the template round the outside of the curve. I'd also pre bent the track first, not with a rail bender, just bending it flat on the table till it didn't want to go straight anymore.
  11. @JimRead Looks like you put in the @, followed by (no space) the member's name exactly as it's written. A little tab pops up, click on that and it's done. At least that's what just happened on my Android tablet
  12. Looks good. I think the stairs would have made the platform seem really small, plus this adds an air of mystery - what's behind the doorway?
  13. To avoid any stairways making the platform look shorter they could be underground, emerging from a dingy doorway in the brickwork, like some of the Great Central stations
  14. Enjoying this and your videos. Not an area I know but rather weirdly my daughter has just moved to Rood End so it looks like I'll be getting acquainted with the locality pretty soon. This will give a whole new angle as I watch your model develop!
