    A baseboard plan...

Alright, ill check it out. Its actully the side of my bedroom!
  2. Hello all, I will soon perhaps start a new blog and re-name my new model railway with a better name but for now my old railway's blog will do. The picture below is just the baseboard idea. I will again be making a Heritage Railway (or Preserved if you like) layout. Ive got no idea as to if i should have the back as a fiddle yard or have a sort of typical heritage railway cluttered up yard with 2 loops. If anybody can come up with anything...please share! and I don't mind making one of the 2 middle boards wider if the other gets smaller.
  3. Hello all, Its been ages since I said anything....but I made this recently... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJ3QSEmsxnY Yep, the horrid floor based layout with around 5 year old Hornby starter track mixed with a few odd peco bits has been closed. Ive left that house now and Im now living in the cold and wet West Yorkshire. I have plans for a new layout and if you look out they will be along soon. This will be the first layout have had on a raised baseboard so im rather excited about the new layout! I also have yet to talk with my dad about the stock arrangments, as if you look in the above all the LMS carriges and engines are part of his model railway fleet (he has alot of nice stock and i might show you some pictures of the custom built ones!). I also unfortunatly dont have much rolling stock...so ill be borrowing lots till I can get some Bachmann Mk1's. Anyways, Enjoy.

    A video!

Hey! I have finally got round to creating and finishing a video. It is a short one. Excuse my messy room! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJUxA_xozc0 Also the loco derailed due to the points became wobbly, it had caused many problems and it got made worse by fiddling the points. I have ordered a Peco replacement. The Pannier is still dead and my new favorite loco is my shinny new Class 04, very heavy model but it runs well, if I remember to scrub the track with sandpaper! Enjoy!
  5. Yes, I have had that too. Firstly after 6 months of slight jerking the one of the rod screws fell out and I put it back in after 15 minutes of searching for it. Also a few times the wheels have gone out of line, the middle one at the top and the other 2 at the bottom causing it to stop moving. I also think that it that particular model like most Hornby small locos are really for short use. Also I have thought about it and have decided to buy a Bachmann Painner next to replace it.
  6. What's on your mind?

  7. I am very disappointed that my birthday present from 2 years ago has been running very bad this month, and I have decided to remove it from service. The reason being is that it has started to become a terrible runner, and to get it round most of the layout it needs to be at top speed. Now running a GWR painner tank at the top speed on my layout looks very silly, not even the bigger locomotives do that! At a more realistic speed the loco will jerk and come to sudden dead stop. I have attempted to clean the loco and track but that failed. It looks as though it has come to the end of its life at Moor's Line. And to say farewell to it, here are some photo's of my only PT loco: At the steam gala in May 2009, 2721 At the display siding's, where it now lives today with other old models and loco's. This LNER J72 has replaced all of 2721's duty's. If anybody has any solution to this, please contact me!
  8. Hello, School has got ontop of Moor's Line, but today school has ended for Christmas! I decided to set it up to have some fun! Aswell we have finally started to hunt down the stuff needed to create a baseboard. Hopefully it shall be a L shaped one, witch is also going to be like a table. That is only if I am allowed! This all may be brought to nothing as we might move house soon, which I am hoping will happen as I shall get the whole attic! Pictures of it in action shall be posted! Not the greatest update is it?
