The EM gauge layout KINMUNDY which has featured often on the RM Web now has a new home on the south coast. It is now owned and operated by the Southampton Model Railway Society and has joined the local exhibition circuit. It appeared at Woking last October and is due to be shown at Crawley on 18th & 19th April. Fareham 25th April, with other exhibitions still to be confirmed.
The overall layout has not been changed, the unique scenery remains unchanged although under the baseboard the points have been receiving attention by the 'MERG men'.

I arrived in the early afternoon and while the car park was busy I had no problem parking, I enjoyed the exhibits and trade stands, my only criticism was that the refreshments were severely limited, a big provincial show like this should have more to offer than sweets, crisps and a limited choice of sandwiches

I went to the Alton show today (Saturday) road conditions from the south OK, pavements within the school have been cleared, although the parking area is a bit tricky.
The exhibition was quite quiet as could be expected, some nice layouts and plenty of trade, well worth the effort of getting there
