  1. Blank Frank loved his Princess, it was dumped on the car park for long enough in the 90s!
  2. It has indeed left for Bridgnorth. Will try to pop down tomorrow to grab a photo. Sadly not one of the great and the good to get a visitor. Mind you at least then you are less likley to get an Inspector.
  3. My mood has taken a nose dive, whether its the redundancies coming to pass, being told your doing a great job and we would like you to be permenant but whereas all the other members of the SLT have had a pay rise your not getting one, My son who is autistic having more melt downs , feeling my wife who has lots of health conditions can miraculously do lots more out of the house with others rather than at home I dont know but severly fed up comes to mind.. I sorted out some smokeboxes to solder up and some boilers which are ready for the next stage but lost the urge to do it. The only bright spark has been sending my book to the printers, it coming back needing some changes and having managed to make them, now I just need to add some more images as there is too much white space.
  4. Airband had won Worcestershire, but the investor pulled the plug on it the day before it went public. About 160 have gone since at airband and has meant about 15 where I am. I understand the other bidder who had lost should theoretically have been passed the work, although whether they rush to do it is nother matter sadly
  5. If you are somewhere that is not a town you may well end up waiting a lot longer or having to get a different solution. Investment in fire accross Europe fell last year by 66%. The Altnets are either failing or being bought out by others and otheres are moving from a build to operate model. Its not about total homes past now its more about homes connected. There has been a very large slow down in the roll out, Its a shame but its just the way the cookie crumbles. Anyway I thought EE were owned by VMO2.
  6. The honest answer is that unlike locomotive drawings those of buildings are very difficult to come by. I have spent months looking for drawings to end up just drawing them from basic measurments and lots of drawings. If a building has been altered and it is no longer in railway use you may find a plan from the council planning department, its surprising what is there. Good luck
  7. Ok so here we go with the buffer stop, if you can call it that of the siding going up to the station building I've got the negative somewhere, but not sure where The buffer stop at the end of the siding by the box is seen next - sorry its a very distant shot but is the best I have. It looks to be rail built, we could assume a standard LSWR one as was common eleswhere but I don't have any better photo to help comfirm that Another of the cremery Next the end of the Cremery siding. Not a great image, but it does not look like a proper buffer stop to me Now onto the buildings. The Dorset Central were very good in largley building to a standard design with small variations at each location so no too are exactly the same. Here are the scans of the drawings of the main buildings I finished. I found the original drawing I did this evening and can annotate scale on each as my scanner is sadly only big enough for A4 I have also partly done the signal box - the front elevation is 3/4 done and the south elevation about 1/2 done. It was at a time when my anxiety and depression was really starting to take hold and I got frustrated at not finding a view of the rear of the box and stopped. Its daft as I have also got drawings of the building at Stalbridge part done and at Wells. Happy to try and get the box to the point of being able to be scanned as all of my drawings are hand drawn. Hopefully they are ok Tim Chapman used my Templecombe ones to help him with his model and the Blandford museum had copies of what I had done in relation to Blandford. All the best Duncan
  8. Not so much teething problems as you would not put a brand new loco out on normal workings without a good couple of hundred miles running in and then loaded tests to make sure everything is ok. Blue Peter for example is doing about 1000 miles of running in and loaded test trains on the SVR
  9. The photo is from 1968. I will have a look through what else I've got on Bailey Gate. I can't remember if I finished my drawing of the main building or not.
  10. Does this help from one of my negatives. Think I have some more on a different disk
  11. There are alot of assumptions in this comment which are being kind very outdated and offensive to the one in four people who are nurodiverse. Its not a case of being rightly or wrongly wired, its just different to perhaps how you are. The implication in what you write is that no one who is nurodiverse should ever be a manager, really these sorts of views deserve to be left in the past just like racism, sexism etc. @AY Mod
  12. Indeed if they do a steam braked only loco
  13. That is only suitable for Stanier locos as opposed to Fowler ones
  14. That fitted to the Fowler 3fs was a Midland style, rather than a Stanier one. Alan Gibson lists this as 4M603 MR steam vacuum ejector.
