On the web page choose <Shop>; then choose <Accounts>; then <Orders>; then choose the order number you wish to pay the balance on. This brings up Order Detils. To the left on this screen choose <Payment Methods>. This will bring up a card payment screen into which you can put your debit card details.

And then begins the wait for your Caroline to be despatched. But they're understandably busy just now.

Hope this helps. Took me a while.

    Thanks Andy,

Been through that process but I have no new invoice to pay; if that is what you received?  Only the original from 2020. Hopefully Mike will reply to my email and we can take this off the forum.

    Hi Chris

As per the info on our website - please login to your account on our website where you should see your balance invoice.

    Best wishes

    Mike

    Thanks Mike,

Sorry, I'm obviously being really stupid here as everyone else seems to have mastered this; I have an invoice on my account dated 27 May 2020 when I placed my order. It mentions what the future amount will be but how do I actually pay it? Am I supposed to ring up? Is it that simple? I don't see a link to click and I never received an email so is it that I ring you up and pay the balance?

    Kind regards

    Chris

Wether the ETH is in the bag or fitted to the loco is not a deal breaker for me but having said that I do have a 47435 on order from TMC with value weathering so I would hope there fitted or I will end up with bright orange plugs on a grimy loco.

Hi GD, you have to specify to have the detail parts fitted with TMC otherwise they won't do it.

Just ordered 25 324 with sound and supercap. Excellent service by phone, and painless so far, (no money taken from card yet, only when model is dispatched). Now what to do with my Bachmann type 2s?

Me too. Ordered 25324 and 25260. Might have to stretch my era a bit to accommodate 25260 but it'll be nice to have one in green with TOPS. :)

With announcements like this i’m glad I’m still stuck in the past (DC).

spent all day on the phone today, but all work..

so tomorrow i’m in for 2 Blue, maybe a third, 25912 and maybe a green one...

not sure about Ethel, I may go with a token Heljan for this, as i’ll never see the front, and I may strip it out and let it be pulled... that said the loco to pull it, will be one of my oldest ever renumbers.. a model of 5407 in LMS black, dating back to the mid80’s, same time as Ethel was ethelling... its no oil painting in todays standards, and the rat might need to give the old ringfield a push!

Forgive me if I have misunderstood your post but if you are thinking of buying a Heljan ETHEL to provide a push you will be disappointed. The Heljan offering does not have a motor. The SLW version, does. :)

  6. Bachmann set of 6 16t Mineral Wagons.

Second hand from Rails of Sheffield -  £119.50 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bachmann-TMC-OO-GAUGE-37-265Z-SET-OF-6-WEATHERED-16T-MINERAL-WAGONS/193864226939?hash=item2d2335587b:g:YDkAAOSwjxdgDu~g

Or brand new from TMC (who commissioned them) for £114.50!!! - https://www.themodelcentre.com/37-265z-Bachmann-six-pack-16-ton-mineral-wagons-br-grey-tmc-limited-edition-factory-weathered

TMC have 10+ sets in stock so it's not as if they're sought after.

Thanks, it is a regular "go to" for projects, and will look again for this. Just wanted to be sure the model was otherwise identical to the 5099 version?

Ah, sorry. It is identical, yes. For a 'Tyne Dock' loco it would need the underbody tanks modified slightly. Also of note, the unnumbered version does not have a TOPS data panel either.

Just had a look on the SLW website, nice move doing an un-numbered variant. This one comes with the high level brake pipe kit too, so it can represent the relevant ex Tyneside locos. I take it that it is identical otherwise to the 5099 version (which has now sold out), ie plated front doors with central headcode discs? I need to do some more research on possible identities.

So which category does 47 711 fall into? I don't know when it was announced but it feels like over a year. It does make me wonder how old the tooling and design of the mechanism is for that model? I watched a review of 47 537 and a comment was made about the mechanism not having changed for over a decade and no improvements to the detailing in that time.

I appreciate that the manufacturers have to use 'best information' pictures in their adverts for Pre-release products but at what point would you have the detailed information and accurate pictures on the product that you will eventually receive?

I know it's only minor but the photos shown so far of 47711 have it with a cab mounted aerial and square headlight. Looking at Flickr, it didn't get an aerial until at least 1988 by which time it was in Scotrail livery. It didn't get a square headlight until I believe 1985, by which time it was, again, in Scotrail livery. I appreciate the photos shown could be just mock ups based on a previous model so will see when it is released.

Think they have had them longer than that , got both mine during the first lockdown

Ok, fine. You know better than me. Was just trying to let people know that the 'new' version was available as it was formally announced today.  Wasn' t trying to start a debate on who knew when or who had 'two' first!. Regards.
