  1. 26036 hauls condemned 26021 South to MC Metals from Inverness. Two Dogfish act as brake force.
  2. Michael Fish has predicted some Springtime snow so Inverness allocated Intercity Sleeper pool engine 37156 is out on the ploughs.
  3. Ace work on 47304, Had used a similar fade technique on the diamonds for 47283 'Johnnie Walker' which was running about in the early 90s with some faded symbols
  4. Thing with the white roof ones is that one often appeared in the normal Inverness or Aberdeen trains and also the Charter sets often had one without the white roof. Mixing them is fairly prototypical.
  5. Cheers think I'm after 5 for an Orcadian or similar set.
  6. Before I get down to the local shop to order can anyone elaborate on the White Roof serial numbers? 374-820 BR Mk1 FO First Open BR InterCity Charter (Executive) £47.95 Or 374-820A BR Mk1 FO First Open BR InterCity Charter (Executive) £47.95 The pictures look the same. Don't want to order the wrong one. Looking for the Intercity to be the swallow version not the older sans serif. Thanks
  7. White roof mk1s yes please. Finally can form a Land cruise set. Bit disappointed no 90s era 47s or 37s but can't have it all and money is saved....
  8. IC Mainline has been done on the OO 401 so wouldn't over surprise me if it pops up on a refreshed version one day. Proper IC would be good also. 7 examples in the 1990s 152/221/251/505/510/683/685 and 1 in 254 for the modern era.
  9. I couldn't get the couplings to match but haven't tried too hard, would think the speed settings would need matching. The Farish 158 definitely has a low speed on full power which I think is down to the motor being quite a small device.
  10. Couple of tunnel exit shots. 158 heading North, then 37427 'Highland Enterprise' follows.
  11. How do people feel over the 158s top speed? I feel it should be a little quicker topping out. Tried tweaking CVs to with someone who knows what there doing and still feels like its a steady runner but not quick.
  12. It often feels like the to eras that matter to the industry are Green transition and Latest day Private bonanza liveries. Those of us doing the early 90s or late 80s seem to struggle. Sad to see Hattons go been a regular for 40 years but my main sympathy falls with the staff who I hope are ok.
  13. BRELs finest loco hauled removal devices. Or in model terms Graham Farish new tool 158 passes Dapols new body shell 156. John
  14. My views so far: Positive: great looking model, detail is spot on can't fault the body shape, livery numbers, letters etc. Runs OK and saloon lighting is nice. Negative: no snowplough cowling supplied. Scotrail fitted these early on in 1990s. Lighting, although the Saloon lighting is good the cabs are also lit. Cab lights are rarely on when trains are driven. Can't overly complain though the model is light years ahead of the old tooling.
  15. Not that I have noticed. Some motor hum but nothing to note no.
  16. Just got my RR 158 home and running in, lovely looking model.
  17. Indeed, whatever I do with them they upload inverted. Have tried to edit and reupload but no joy.
  18. Took some shots in Aberkeld Junction with the ring light and phone. 37428 and 26037 and the HST featured. John
  19. VTG Ferry wagons please, gave up with the Roco ones as couldn't unsee the size difference.
  20. 2nd car went better, lights came out with cocktail stick. All back together and working again.
  21. Not done with skirts cut round buffers though. That's the one a lot of us would like and buy.
  22. Started mine. Tried pushing lights out with cocktail stick. Stuck in so tight that the cocktail stick just crushed itself inwards and no lights pushed out. In the end got frustrated and teased the inside with a screwdriver gently and one side of the light unit broke off and a red light snapped also. Also the body and the pick up wires are very tight and so far won't fit. All in all pretty frustrated. Put it down now to renumber a 26 which is far more simple!!
  23. Cheers, I thought some assistance from lighting was the case. I have decent android camera too but have not got a light yet, tripod keeps it steady of course!!
  24. I must ask what you use for taking pictures with? I struggle to get results with either my phone or my camera and may hunt in the sales for something good for models. N gauge isn't always the easiest to shoot but your shots look great and do it justice. John
