Very hot at the moment isn't it? Mind you the weather is as well.
Perhaps cooling down would be good for all.

By all means if you have equipment that you use and can vouch for it to actually work then post the information to assist others. If, however you are just going to post to tell us all how you amuse yourself by whatever means with these callers then we have been through it all several times before in this and other threads. No need to repeat it all in here.

As well as a really useful cement mixer the current Mrs. Shakespeare brought
Shylock Shakespeare
Was that like a dowry then?

Dave can I just add my congratulations for not only achieving what you set out to do but keeping many of us enthralled and entertained. I also think it just shows that threads can exist without any bickering and is a true testament to your own rules.
I personally thank you.

Knowing how against locking of threads Martin is I shall leave this one open as he seems to be intent on having his say. Tempting though it is to lock it I believe there is some arguments (no pun intended) for leaving it open as it was started by Andy to address an issue that had arisen recently on more than one occasion.
Now in order to get back to the topic do you think that you two (Jim and Martin) can move on from all of this arguing as it is obvious that you both see it from very different sides and are not going to agree?

Merged with original thread to save confusion and duplication.
-
Bill I have merged the two threads because as you may have seen already it is difficult to keep track of two with different and repeated replies.
-
No it isn't illegal to revive a topic that has been dormant for 10 months but it never fails to surprise me how they do crop up from time to time. Shows some of you folk must spend time looking at the older threads which is no bad thing as there are some gems out there.

THE LINES ARE NOW CLOSED. DON'T VOTE NOW AS YOU WILL STILL BE CHARGED AND YOUR VOTE WILL NOT COUNT!
Queue drums and the inevitable tension building pause.........................

Thanks for that. It has been having a slow spell probably having it's Sunday lunch.
Nice picture.

Not a bad idea but your attachment appears to be not working.

Gentlemen if we could put an end to this bickering and move on please.

If it was that bad in the jokes it would be removed. We do check them you know.
-
It'll need some thought but I'm sure a seperate thread with pics would work. Any of the Mods have an idea?
JF
Well that depends if you are selling or they are Free to a good home. There are sub sections for each.

Once upon a time, there were three bears.
Now there's thousands of the big, hairy b******s...

As interesting as this thread is we have been through this bit about Train station many times and see little point in going through it all once more. So if someone would like to move the thread away from there it would be much appreciated.

Hi all,
way off the topic of model railways but has anyone else joined Google+ yet?
Regards
Paul
So needs to be in Wheeltappers where I have moved it to.

Quite a lot of stuff has changed in recent weeks. This may help you with your problem.

I have twice had to remove copies of the video from Youtube because posters have just used the 'Reply quoting this post' button. This just means that the video has to load more often and therefore the thread takes longer to load for those with slow connections. Please do not copy pictures or video over from other members posts.
-
Two topics now merged into one. Please don't start a new thread to discuss the same problem as it splits the replies and then becomes difficult for yourself or others that have been kind enough to reply to keep track.

I think it about time for an OT warning here. Apart from the fact that hazard perception tests and the like have nothing to do with kids throwing stuff at passing cars the OP said in his original post.
Please don't ask to bring back National Service, hanging, corporal punishment etc as there are online petitions for such a thing. So someone immediately mentions that. Then I have had to remove a post from someone suggesting taking the law into their own hands and threatening violence to these sort of people (not kids). So could we please confine ourselves to the topic and not go off on tangents? In fact this from the op is ringing bells.
MODS - I appreciate that this fall under the category of "the state of society etc etc" so if it is felt that it serves no purpose or can only lead to no good then please act accordingly but, as I am sure you appreciate, sometimes you just need to gauge your reaction against that of others who may have been faced with a similar circumstance. I feel like reporting my own thread just to be sure... (I wonder if I'll be the first to do so? )By all means discuss but please do not advocate violent or law breaking actions and try at least to keep 'close' to the topic.
-
OT discussions like this are quite interesting!
Indeed they can be but perhaps you would be good enough to start a new thread for them as this has gone way OT and I think the OP has the answers now to the situation. With that in mind this will be locked.

Was it a "box" junction?
Ed
Today on the A580 I reached the stop line in lane 1 at a box juction thatI think before this thread becomes too clogged up with differing points of view that will assist you very little it is probably best if you await to see if you do in fact receive anything through the post. OK you have asked for opinions but until you do receive notification one way or the other they will judging by the above be more confusing than helpful. If you do receive a summons or Fixed Penalty Notice then you will have a choice to accept that or plead not guilty in a court where a solicitor will be far more use to you than conflicting views on here.

Humuor is a strange animal. We all have different ideas of what is funny and what is not. If any joke offends there is the option to use the report function and in that light can we return to using this for jokes rather than discussing what is funny and what is not please?
