well one of the jobs i did today was to finish off the Comet kits kit No W46 of the Dia F24 slip coach
I have found this as with all the other Comet kits i have built a nice kit to work on with no problems though i did replace the seating from the kit with southern pride seats
well the HST power car has now got its transfers on & about to get a coat of satin varnish & once that is dry its just the glazing then its finished
I fined water slide transfers a pain but heres some pics of the Car

1st up is the 4mm GNR Howlden 45ft dia277 brake 3rd Built from Bill Bedford etches & 247 Developments parts painted by Dave Studley No's 1605 & 799
2nd is the 4mm GNR 58ft 1in dia121 lav composite built from Bill Bedford etches & 247 Developments parts painted by Dave Studley No's 3074 & 3076
& last but not least the 3rd is the 4mm GNR Howlden 45ft dia129 Lav composite with luggage Built from Bill Bedford etches & 247 Developmets parts painted by Dave Studley No's 134 & 2946
one of the jobs this week is a Martin Finney LSWR low roof van kit Dia 1410 & as i do not normally build wagons i have put this build in My Blog
so far i have got the chassie to a rolling stage & there are 26 parts to it
the build is taking a lot longer than it takes me to build a coach as the kit Can build to any of 3 Diagrams which can have any of 5 brake types & 2 axle boxes so just finding the part takes longer than fitting it
the one i am building is to dia 1410 fitted with morton brakes & panter axle boxes
Today I am painting coach one is the GWR slip coach which I have painted the ends black and a Chivers LNER 4 wheel brake van (pigeon) again its in teak livery
The next job for this coach is to letter up the sides then varnish them , glaze & fit the roof.
well one of the items i have been working on today was fitiing the glazing & chassie to the GWR L23 TPO this is now finished apert from fitting the No's but i need some more 1's to number this TPO
I have also been priming the body & chassie of the Midland TPO
the next coach i am building is a 5577 kit of a Midland Dia D572 a 12 wheel 3rd class Dining car
this afternoon i have been working on a set of etches from 247 Development for a Highland Railway
heres what you get from 247
well i had a brass chassie which with a bit of triming fits this needs to be 184mm long
i have built up the body without its cast fittings & the chassie still needs truss rods & it castings fitting which i hope to get done tomorrow which i got from 247
with the etch you get a roof which needs rolling i will also do this tomorrow
the bogie are from 247
Well after soldering 32 parts togetter i have now got a set of bogie frames built
This build is going to be slow as i have to find & them look at photos of the bit i am building so that i can find the part (no numbering on the etches )

Today I am working on a Steve Beattie Diesel kit of a Baby Deltic with head code box
the instructions are not warth the paper there printed on
I will not have to build the skelinton as it was sent to me all ready built
Today i am working on the bogies & will give a update later
Well to day i have fitted the glazing & asembled the coach
I have found this set of etches very nice to work with & i am very pleased with the out come

Back to working on the Finney kit today
so far i have built up the sides & ends only using solder.I have just given them a wash
& once i have had lunch i hope to get the 4 parts solded to getter
One of todays jobs is building up the radiaters for the 23 & them fitting them
Well i got them built & fitted
there when together better than i had expected
next is to get the body to fit the skeleton then its down to fitting the white metal nose, bonit, windows & cab roof

i have now finished the 4mm Ex Midland TPO lot666 built from the 247 Developments etchs i found this a nice set of etches to build
It has been finished in period 3 livery

As i have now sold newmarsh good i can now get Necropolis set up so all been well i can get some more work do to the layout
The next job is 4 Southern Pride Mk1's 3of which have brass sides & one with per-printed sides
a Dia 32 Booth Car
a Dia 32 Griddle Car
a Dia 79 Lounge 1st
& the pre- printed Dia 72 open 1st
All to be finished in BR blue/gray livery & today i have painted the coach ends blue & made a start on the 1st chassie which is for the Dia 72
Also today i have given the GWR TPO a coat of GWR Cream paint
well i have got the body built apart from fixing the roof on once this has been done i will need to fill in around the net doors
I have drilled out the roof ready for the vents which will be fitted once i have finish fitting the roof but that will be tomorrow Now as will the chassie
I boboed when fitting the ends as i got then the wrong way & had to remove them & re-fit at the right ends
The Highland TPO is now in LMS maroon & i hope to get the roof painted tonight
