    Just watched last nights "Panormarar" aboiut HS2. It is goingo to be an over priced and this country dose not require such a high speed line. As I feel that this country is lossing it geern spaces.

      With the size of the car park at Interchange, Solihull will become a London suburb. House prices will rocket.

      Some people might wonder if that could be the real reason for the project getting the green light - when lots of trains elsewhere usually seem to get red lights.

       

      (Removing Severn Bridge tolls seems to have had a similar effect on Cwmbran.)

       

      Of course, some cynics might wonder if it might make it easier for some MPs to get away from the constituents they are paid to represent - on expenses, naturally.

       

      I could not possibly comment.

      Nine out of the ten of the busiest stations are in London and the tenth is at the other end of HS2, perhaps if the North want more spending on their trains they should use them more?
