Oh yes, there will be more maps. This is just the starting point.

Thanks Mike. That map is interesting as it seems to show the route of the OWWR branch to Witney that was never built. My map includes the later Witney Railway, which will eventually reach much further west.
The WMR engines will be green. I haven't decided the exact shade yet, I would like it to be different to the GWR, maybe a lighter shade. It may come down to what paint I have available and what looks best on a model.

The steam locos were painted black, so no reason for them to be the same colour as the wagons. It's possible the green paint was mixed and applied at the front, so could be quite variable in appearance.

Have you seen the 3D printing section of rmweb?

You should find plenty of info there.

Hello
This looks like a good plan.It sounds like you are going to end up building a 7mm version of Willesden Junction, which is no bad thing.Be warned, WJ (a 4mm layout) is 20 feet long, but includes a turning triangle at one end and a junction at the other. The transfer yard area will fit into your space with room for some scenery, such as the shelled farm.
DCC is a good idea, there tends to be lots of conflicting movements in the yard.
I shall watch with interest.
Regards (from an ex WJ operator).

I have two questions:
Best glue for pink foam?
Can you please fix the wonky chimney tops? Otherwise this looks excellent.
PVA works with it.Avoid any solvent based glue, that will dissolve the stuff.

Interesting.Does that mean the middle axle is shorter,or have you not pushed the middle crank in as far as the others?

I'm liking the look of this one a lot,Al.A nice variation on the GWR BLT.
I'm experimenting myself with the pink foam, plus Balsa wood as facing to keep things light.Very easy to work with.
Looking forward to seeing another great model emerge.

Despite what it says on the box it is 009 (1:76) , replace the face with a smokebox door and you have a scale model of Dolgoch.
