  1. Jack, that plan is one of Iain Rice's plans and was part of a series of 3 layouts designed to go in a wall using the same fiddleyard. Sadly there's very little of Trerice online. There's a bit on gwr.co.uk and scale four showcase website and a few short videos on YouTube.
  2. I've got 2 lengths of the plain track and it look nice, but it doesn't sit well next to ME code 70.
  3. is the battery going in the loco or are you powering the track with it? You could try a nicd 4.5v battery instead. Or a pololu 5v step down regulator.
  4. Great thread Corbs, I've found that I lose low speed control with 12v step up chips, so unless I can use a 3V motor then I use the pololu 9v step up chips. still very small and it gives the best of both worlds, control and battery life.
  5. That voltage booster look quite large, have you tried the smaller pololu boosters?
  6. Caledonian, What I meant was the Caley is the only open cab with the 14" cylinders, as Katie has the 16" cylinders.
  7. I've ordered 2 Caley models, to repaint into Earl of Dudley loco's, which I'm surprised isn't really mentioned in this long thread, considering the amount of Barclay locos on the Earl of Dudley railways from the early 20th century right up to the mid 60's. The Caley version being the only open cab version but still needs a few mods, new handrails etc and step mods. Lady Honor Wallows by Prof2940, on Flickr
  8. Hi. Just wondering if anyone has spare Masokits etches for plain and turnout brass fold up chairs. Thanks Dave
  9. Hi all Looking for any of the above. I know the DJH kit is still available but the Mercian isn't. Would rather find a Mercian as I'm looking to build in P4 and buying the full DJH kit is a little wasteful as I'd not use the wheels motor or box. But will consider a second hand one. Edit to include looking for Mercian peckett 0-6-0 Kit. Thanks
  10. I just wonder. What's the point of it all. Your either forum or against em.
  11. There are a number of colour photos on Flickr. In my opinion there's too much contrast in your rust colour, it almost gives off a glow.
  12. Its all very good saying shipment x is on ship xyz leaving China on day x when you only have one product. Seriously you all think the big manufacturers are going to tell you what ships their products are on. I suspect they'll use many more ships in a year than DJM will.
  13. Out of interest, did you weather the Scot from a photo or was it just best guess?
  14. LOST - "Criticism, Critique". Banned by the hierarchy just like the lost souls who offered you in good faith. REWARD zilch.

  15. RIP Phil Hughes. Makes stupid issues on here so trivial. May be a lot of people need to take a good long hard look in the mirror!

  16. So considering recent remarks on your own website "I’ve committed to not announcing any more products until i’ve cleared these in about 24 months time," (Aug) How can justify so many more models inside such a short time frame, especially as you have not released final models of any loco yet?
  17. John Perfect timing thank you. I've been looking over the remains of the kellar branch for some time and want to model something based around O'Briens steel works with the blue CIRY SW14 and prex gp20. But could do with a bit more info.
  18. As technology moves on smoothness will follow soon enough. See here http://www.3dprinterworld.com/article/smooth-like-butter-mass-finishing-for-abs-and-pla-prints-magicbox Small components are not that expensive, if you add as many components in to one batch the price will come down if you sell parts on like Simon does, better to sell yourself than let people buy from a shapeways shop. There are companies who offer better quality than shapeways too. Swings and roundabouts, there's plenty of rubbish resin details out there!
  19. Anyone have a March 2006 Railway modeller. I'm after the Jubilee sidings layout article. plz PM me

Hi, its Dave T's Jubilee sidings layout article I'm looking for.

  21. Shall I add this Bloxwich Youtube video, clearly visible is Ballast to the top of sleepers and below sleeper tops.
  22. Andy out of interest, is my 0n30 layout in the mag (19). Dave.
  23. What no Colin Craig FB track Mark? Looking good.
  24. I can highly recomend these from Noch. These are N but like most things N scale looks just right for 00/HO. http://www.osbornsmodels.com/noch-3d-self-adhesive-building-sheets-399-c.asp The 3d brick can be seen on this post from US forum bigblue http://bigbluetrains.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=3320#p55446 and http://bigbluetrains.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=3320&start=30#p56218 There is also a HO/00 version of these, but I'm still under the impression they are well overscale. hth
