Your layout Gordon is well and truly going to be one the great layouts of all time to be remembered for decades to come and an inspiration to all old and new to this grand hobby of ours...
As has been said before your work inspires a lot of us through that patch of losing the modeling mojo so thank you mate for keeping us all inspired and hanging out for your next post.
Cheers
Anthony
PS Damn you for making it all look so easy lol

Awesome!!! Opened my front door this Arvo and low and behold, strike me down and slap me stupid there was a parcel from the motherland with my replacement chassis in it...I had nearly given up on it but surprise surprise the lovely Tanya at Hornby had come through.

Thanks Anthony
Do you have a layout thread on here ?
No mate I just dont have the time to model, work, kids and document my meager efforts..ha ha...One day I might just take a few snaps of my littl tail chaser with an MPD in the centre

ha ha Thank you oldknotty.. Actually I was one the founders of the so called club when it all started here on a previous incarnation of RMWeb unfortunately long long ago..Its been a few years now..Funnily enough its not just limited to Hornby as good friend showed me this morning with a couple of Proto 2000 chassis from round the same time as the 31's that he has to repair/Scratchbuild a chassis for..

You Clive were mainly responsible for swaying me towards BR Modelling mate so for that I thank you!!!
I have been building my MPD for around 4-5 years now and have enjoyed every bit so no apology needed my friend as your layuots and modelling have
allways been an inspiration.

Since being told to email at the end of August when the replacement chassis should have arrived I have since sent 2 emails and have heard nothing in return..
Now this has been going on for years now and after the communication with the lovely Stephanie at customer care I thought finally it would be resolved but after being ignored now for over a month I think that now i might just scrap it and build my own chassis..
Now I spend quite a lot on my hobby and have a few Hornby locos but now I dont think that I will be buying many more..
It has taken quite a long time to get to this point for me..
Not so cheers

I have recieved an email from the lovely Stephanie @ Hornby Customer Care letting me know that the replacement parts still have not arrived and to email them around the end of the month..

Thanks for stepping in there Andy and getting some helpful info for us...
I had just about given up on Hornby to be honest as I started my ball rolling with them in May 2009.
I have just sent another email to customer care to see what happens now, It is good though that they are trying to fix the problem for us.
Here's to hopefully have a solution to the problem soon
cheers

"Hi Anthony, I am glad that you enjoy the thread about my silly project!"
Silly is not the word I would use mate, I was thinking more along the lines of epic.
Outstanding modelling mate, really!!
