Vera ordered with sound. It will not fit with my layout but have have fond memories have journeys behind Vera on the NYMR. Just hope I get the S160 to pair up.

I’m really looking forward to the NER 20ton wooden hoppers. A J21 would go great with them. The sole survivor is currently going back together so possibly a good opportunity to scan it?

I have to agree there is a lot to catchup following Covid and the constant lockdowns in China. For me, stilling waiting for the Standard 2, West Auckland shed. Nothing remotely interesting though in the new items. Did not expect anything exciting this year

I thought I would get a thread started on a layout that has come into hands of Durham Loco Group. The layout is based quite accurately on Barras on the Barnard Castle to Kirby Stephen line. I’m not the builder of the layout but hopefully the original construction team are here on the RMWeb. A few of our volunteers are currently working on a few repairs to get it ready for its first outing in March. Barras like a few of our group members other layouts are used to offset the cost of a trade stand to aid our fundraising activities. Hopefully we will get a few invites to additional shows from the post. I will get some additional photos added and a few videos over coming days

I will join the others with the 8F. Long overdue. Hopefully a retooled D49 also. On the new front a J21 please.

Birtley Model Railway show has been confirmed as a go for the 7/8th August.

What a great inspiration Gordon has been to so many. I would never have binned Code 100 and started building my own turnouts. He was always on hand for support and advice. I will certainly miss the updates on Eastwood Town. A fantastic layout in the making. A huge loss to our modelling family. My condolences to all of Gordon’s family and friends. He will be a huge miss.

It has been a long time since our last update. There is still not much to report in terms of progress on Norwood’s restoration. We do however have a new website at www.durhamlocogroup.com. We also now have a EBay charity sellers page along with a PayPal giving fund account. Whilst we have not been able to progress at Shildon due to covid we are working hard to raise funds for the boiler. please pay our new pages a visit. Save us as a favourite seller on EBay. Very much appreciated

The answer is no. There seems to be a lack of spares out there so I have a scrap L1, used once briefly. Not sure a brass replacement is out there?
